Historia
The world still carries its wounds from the first age as it heals from the devastation caused by the War of Strife and Sorrow. A new danger looms, threatening to plunge the world of Auro into an age of darkness, yet amidst the gloom, there exists hope—a fragile thing, either rewarded or punished by fate. A once noble prince, infected by the corruption of the fade, leads his sinister army across the land, leaving destruction in their wake. His sights are set on the realm where the gods once walked among the people.

Epic, fantasy adventure with LAYERS
Revisado: 04-25-25
I want to begin by sharing how this book caused me to feel. The author does a great job creating relationships and connections between the characters and reader. Some characters I felt I could see my self hanging out with them sharing my deepest feelings, another I wanted to be friends with but I would be the weird one. Characters I wanted to sit down and learn deep philosophy and magic together and the history behind the world and others I wanted to throat punch. Through the story you can tell that not everything is at face value. There are LAYERS. As the reader we know characters in books almost seem one dimensional. However I feel when I read about certain characters I reflect as if these are people I know in real life, with that one can tell that there are so much more to these characters than meets the page.
World building aspects I felt every serene feeling of calm and rest while at other times I felt anxiety and uncertainty. Traveling through his world I experienced it step by step, smell, touch, hearing and seeing the world in first person. It’s definitely like stepping into a high fantasy realm where anything could happen. But not overly explained where it didn’t leave room for your own imagination.
The story and characters created a wonderful high magic experience of lost hope, finding your path, and a deep love, understanding, misunderstanding and connections between companions. The pace in which he connects throughout the book was a great experience for anyone who wants to immerse themselves into another world.
The narrator for this book was a great choice. He did an excellent job portraying and representing the good the bad and the curious people in the book. I felt he reached deep inside to the character identity and experienced and explored their emotions as if it was him himself going through the experience.
Overall, excellent high fantasy and immersive world with layers. I can definitely tell that this will be a series of stories to tell with history that will explain and expand his world that is to come. Can’t wait for the next book!
