Historia
Even though she's only 12 years old, Lily McKinley already feels the weight of the world's brokenness. She's seen it in her mother's exhaustion, her grandmother's illness, and the cruelty of Adam, the bully at her school. But most tragically, she experienced it two months ago when her father died in a terrible accident. As an artistic daydreamer, Lily has a brilliant imagination to help her cope, but that imagination often gets her into trouble. One day, it transports her to a fantasy world called the Somnium Realm, where her father's secret history embroils her in an epic quest.

The Story comes highly recommended
Revisado: 06-09-24
The story comes highly recommended. But this is an audible book. I am sure Ms McManus put forth her best effort, but...she tends to take an unnaturally long pause after every period. .... Then continues on to the next sentence....the overall effect for our house was...it was distracting that we don't want to listen...anymore.

Historia
Born White in the heart of Zululand during the racial apartheid, Lisa-Jo Baker longed to write a new future for her children—a longing that set her on a journey to understand where she fit into a story of violence and faith, history and race. Before marriage and motherhood, she came to the United States to study to become a human rights advocate. When she naïvely walked right into America’s own turbulent racial landscape, Baker experienced the kind of painful awakening that is both individual and universal, personal and social.

Historia
After Fee published his magisterial God's Empowering Presence, he was asked to write a more accessible volume that would articulate Paul's priorities for experiencing the life of the Spirit in the church. Fee's bestselling introduction to Paul and the Spirit, Paul, the Spirit, and the People of God, went on to sell over 70,000 copies. This book by one of the greatest evangelical and Pentecostal New Testament interpreters of our time argues that the presence of the Spirit is, for Paul and for us, the crucial matter for the Christian life.

Dr Fee is Brilliant—as usual!
Revisado: 04-03-24
Fee has a way of stepping into the confusing swirl of conflicting claims and bringing clarity and confidence based on the clear teaching of scripture. The reader did I fine job but I miss Fee’s own voice.

How to be a high pressure salesperson
Revisado: 02-12-21
This advice is charmingly and persuasively presented. Nevertheless, it is coaching you on how to become everyone worst nightmare when it comes to a salesperson. It reminds me of Phil, Phil Collins on the Groundhog Day movie. There maybe nuggets to glean here, and maybe this approach to sales is useful in auto sales and mattress sales, but then, that's why I try to avoid those places.

Lawhead at top of his game
Revisado: 05-27-19
This is my new favorite of Lawhead’s writing. have read every novel that Lawhead has written. Truthfully, I had decided that I was ready to move on and not bother with his next work. I am glad I changed my mind. I especially appreciated the insight into the destructive insanity of jealousy he showed in describing Liam the brother. Of course Conner’s nobility is an inspiring if very idealistic portrait of a leadership.
