Historia
Pleasance Dunstan is used to silently bearing the cruelties put upon her by her thoughtless family. But nothing can prepare her for the greatest indignity of all: being sold into servitude to a man as wild as Tearlach O'Duine. His untamed ways are whispered of throughout town, and he has set his sights on Pleasance to be more than his servant. He will have her in his bed.

Good story, different!
Revisado: 03-25-24
Moira made me laugh, loved her intuition and maturity for a 13 yr old! Pleasance was smart but still down to earth.

It was OK
Revisado: 06-02-23
the story wasn't bad, however for being the fierce black Parlan Warrior he sounded a bit too dainty. Easily bested, worried he had a scar from a boo boo, lacking enough manliness, ability and strength for being such a big man and worrior. So easily weakened by other men it seemed.

Good one
Revisado: 05-23-23
Good storyline. Joan was a little too meek at times. She seemed to lack grit. Cam sometimes gave me the impression of a dufus at times, obtuse. This is not meant to be critical, just the impression I was left with. Curious reflection. great narrator and a great story!

Historia
Lady Eve Sotherby dreams of escaping her horrid life in England, yet she has nowhere to run. So when she spies a posting for a companion in the Highlands, she seizes the chance to disappear. She’s heard tales about the barbaric Highlanders, of course, but no one can be worse than the beast she once foolishly agreed to wed. And never mind that she doesn’t meet any of the requirements for the position: must have no family, must love the cold, and must know the healing arts.

Good

loved the hero, wish a man like that existed IRL! Story was good. One thing I found annoying is Eve,although a survivor, seemed like a weak, wimpy , frail little woman. Rather light on the intellect. A little too helpless.
