Dull
Revisado: 01-31-25
Jeff really pumped this book up on his online platforms and his podcast. I was looking forward to the release and now I wish I had spent my audible credit on basket weaving tutorials. It’s so incredibly dull and repetitive. I was expecting something new, refreshing, and useful. The book had about 3 or 4 new perspectives and ideas, but generally the same ol same ol. Too much woke, too little usefulness for the rest of us.

Historia
My career as a firefighter/paramedic stretched from 1974 to 2000 when were inventing EMS as we went along. These are stories from those years on the street. That place I named so long ago, the other reality that exists just outside most people’s everyday lives. It is a place that seems to exist parallel to the normal workaday existence: yet it is only a car accident or cardiac away for any of us. It manifested itself in brushfires, house fires, shootings, stabbings, hangings, accidents with injuries, cardiacs, codes, drownings, and a thousand other emergencies.

Incredibly dull and hard to follow. Unfortunately i couldn’t get past chapter 3 and decided to archive it. Something I’ve never done before.

Historia
Belgian detective Hercule Poirot is summoned to France after receiving a distressing letter with a urgent cry for help. Upon his arrival in Merlinville-sur-Mer, the investigator finds the man who penned the letter, the South American millionaire Monsieur Renauld, stabbed to death and his body flung into a freshly dug open grave on the golf course adjoining the property. Meanwhile the millionaire's wife is found bound and gagged in her room. Apparently, it seems that Renauld and his wife were victims of a failed break-in, resulting in Renauld's kidnapping and death.

The narrator was perfect in every way. His voice perfectly matched every part for me.
The story is amazing and it felt as though I was there, traveling alongside Frodo and company. Truly a masterpiece in literature.

Historia
For two thousand years, cadavers have been involved in science's boldest strides and weirdest undertakings. They've tested France's first guillotines, ridden the NASA Space Shuttle, been crucified in a Parisian laboratory to test the authenticity of the Shroud of Turin, and helped solve the mystery of TWA Flight 800. For every new surgical procedure, from heart transplants to gender reassignment surgery, cadavers have been there alongside surgeons, making history in their quiet way.

I admit that a morbid curiosity is what pulled me in, but, I was genuinely disappointed to finish this book. It was so good the entire book and I really didn't want it to end. Fantastic job!

Curiosity led, amazingly fed!
Revisado: 04-16-15
Wow. For years I have looked for some book to be good enough that I might actually make it to the second chapter. I've read a bunch of books classified as great literature that weren't that great. I wanted to find something that had the same effect on me that many of my childhood books did as a child. A fascinating story, impossible to put down, something that was opened only a few times because I read most of it in one sitting, and THIS WAS IT. I stumbled across it while looking into traveling to New Orleans and the reviews seemed good so I gave it a whirl. I have never been this excited to tell a friend about a book in my life-and this includes the times I discovered there was a cliffs notes to some book that I hadn't read in high school!! This book will crack you up, revive your imagination and give you the feel of almost having been there yourself. What an awesome story filled with really great characters! Ignatius! He's hilarious! His mother! She's just like my own mother! I love this book!
