Historia
Every time Bill Bryson walks out the door, memorable travel literature threatens to break out. His previous excursion on the Appalachian Trail resulted in the best seller A Walk in the Woods. Now, we follow him "Down Under" to Australia with this delectably funny, fact-filled, and adventurous performance that combines humor, wonder, and unflagging curiosity. More from Bill Bryson.

Great Travelogue of Austrailian Eccentricities
Revisado: 10-21-18
I listen to Audible books while on my longish 45 minute commute. This was a perfect commuter book. Brisk, mostly cheerful, literate story telling, with interesting educational discussions about places I've never been and in some caess never knew existed. I will seek out others by this author.

Historia
When a Riviera socialite's diamonds are stolen - the latest in a string of seemingly unconnected but ever-more-audacious jewelry heists across France - Elena flies in to investigate the insurance claim. It's a trip she's more than happy to make, as it gives her a chance to meet up with old friends in Marseille - and, particularly, with Sam.

Great light read
Revisado: 10-22-17
As are all Mayle's works, this light cheerful story is a nice distraction from real life. Food, wine, the life of leisure in the south of France. Delightful.

Historia
You know those subtle tricks your coworkers are all guilty of? The constant nodding, pretend concentration, useless rhetorical questions? These tricks make them seem like they know what they're doing when in fact they have no clue. This behavior is so ingrained, so subtle, and so often mistaken for true intelligence that identifying it, calling it out, or compiling it into an exhaustive digest has never been attempted. Until now.

Hilarious!
Revisado: 05-24-17
Been on both sides. Easy distraction to take up some time otherwise wasted, because if you do sit through meetings, listening to this will make you laugh and then think about what you really could do to improve the meetings you can't get out of...

App is buggy - it wants a review but it won't play
Revisado: 01-04-16
I have not finished this book but now this annoying and intrusive request for review pops up every time I try to listen to more of it, and it will not play the book. Please fix this problem so I can finish this book. Why should I spend money on buggy electronic media when I could have bought a paper version and have none of this aggravation? Please fix your application.
