Historia
A small mountain town is isolated by a snowstorm as an ancient evil, gone pandemic, turns the residents into the living dead. Almost overnight the town becomes a snowy tomb of the roaming, hungry infected. Stranded by the weather, hiding, a small group of survivors follows the progress of the disease as society around them and around the world begins to break down. Determined to escape, they find that the normal rules of civilization don't apply anymore. Will they be able to adapt to this strange, hungry new world?

Really a 2.5
Revisado: 12-05-24
The story line is kinda basic. I agree that it is weirdly biased against non-whites and non-Christians. The main character acts stupidly at times, like one minute she is preparing to protect herself and other times she is leaving the door unlocked and behaving like she hasn't been attacked multiple times??! The narrator reads nice and clearly, but is terrible at men's voices, as well as the voices of other ethnicities. I started it and it's short, so I finished it, but it is not a book that I would pay for or waste a credit. It's okay to pass the time while doing something else.

Historia
It’s been 12 years since the undead hordes swept over the earth, forcing mankind to the brink of extinction. We now live like rats, scavenging in the ruins of our fallen civilization as the dead hunt us night and day. There is little left to scavenge, however. Grocery stores were emptied ages ago, gas tanks have long been dry, and bullets are so precious that a man is lucky to have two to his name. Still, we survive. But for how much longer?

great performance, meh ending
Revisado: 12-11-21
The first 2 books were great, the 3rd kind of dragged on an the main character put up with way too many offenses for someone who wants control. The ending was pretty weak.

Historia
Rich Dad Poor Dad is Robert's story of growing up with two dads - his real father and the father of his best friend, his rich dad - and the ways in which both men shaped his thoughts about money and investing. The book explodes the myth that you need to earn a high income to be rich and explains the difference between working for money and having your money work for you. In the 20th anniversary edition of this classic, Robert offers an update on what we’ve seen over the past 20 years related to money, investing, and the global economy.

This book grew out of a series of letters to my daughter concerning various things - mostly about money and investing - she was not yet quite ready to hear. Since money is the single most powerful tool we have for navigating this complex world we've created, understanding it is critical.

Very good book
Revisado: 11-17-19
I enjoyed this book very much! Mr. Collins gives an excellent narration similar to having a conversation with a friend. The book is an action plan for you to get control of your finances and get yourself set up for a comfortable retirement. This is not an in depth read and only offers a few ideas, but it does give some meaningful insight and is a simple step by step guide. Very helpful for someone who has no background in finances or investing. Probably not helpful for anyone who already has basic financial knowledge. I give it 4.5 stars!

Historia
In a future so real and near it might be now, something happens when women go to sleep: They become shrouded in a cocoon-like gauze. If they are awakened, if the gauze wrapping their bodies is disturbed or violated, the women become feral and spectacularly violent; and while they sleep they go to another place.... The men of our world are abandoned, left to their increasingly primal devices. One woman, however, the mysterious Evie, is immune to the blessing or curse of the sleeping disease.

Great reader, boring story
Revisado: 10-21-19
I started zoning out towards the end and didn't really care if I missed anything. Characters seemed very flat and the story was boring. This is weird because the authers gave a lot of description throughout the book (almost unnecessary descriptions because they didn't draw me in, but instead, made me tune out). Miriam Ireland did a good job reading the story! Her voice is amazing and she doesn't mispronounce words or have any distracting qualities.
