Historia
In the final book of the Wizard for Hire trilogy, Ozzy and his friend (and Rin’s daughter), Sigi, are in danger. They are still being hunted by Ray, the power-mad villain who will stop at nothing to find the formula to the mind-controlling discipline serum - one that Ozzy’s parents created and injected into him. Knowing the dangers that lie ahead, Rin introduces Ozzy to four more friends who also claim magical, wizard-like abilities. Again, Ozzy has no reason to believe that magic exists or that Rin’s eccentric friends can help.

Magical listening for the whole family
Revisado: 02-21-22
The whole series had all of our family listening, from 5th grade to 5th decade. The narration us fabulous. with clearly different voices that print the characters.
I loved that it was set in the real world of today. The stores reveals magic all around us and keeps you wondering whether Rin is really magic in the traditional sense.
There are emotions and loss, dealt with well. There are dangerous situations, some unpleasant people and people who change. The limited violence is generally more fun than scary.
The language is appropriate for young children, but the author has a great way of recognizing that stronger language was used.
I'd highly recommend the entire trilogy and will be looking for more by this author and narrator.

Historia
Thousands of years ago, fairies and humans fought a great battle for the magical island of Ireland. When it became clear that they could not win, all of the fairies moved below ground, except for the 8th Family, the demons. Rather than surrender, they used a magical time spell to take their colony out of time and into Limbo. There they have lived for decades, preparing to exact their violent revenge on humans.

Still loved on the 4th listen!
Revisado: 05-30-21
Our 10 and 13 year old sons both love the Artemis Fowl series. The 10-year old has listened to this particular title at least 4 times and is just as rapt with each listen. We all enjoy hearing it.
It has a good amount of action and excitement without being scary. The reading is amazing, with a good separation of voices. The characters are diverse and complex, and there's a great balance of age-appropriate story and action.

Lots of fun & some baseball history I never knew.
Revisado: 07-19-19
A lighthearted and entertaining imagining of the young Babe Ruth in his early career. It makes me want to know more of the actual story. The performance is well-delivered in a hilarious dry wit. Most of it, but not all, was appropriate for children.

Historia
Zero is just one of 20,000 people aboard a spaceship bound for a new planet set to be colonized. The journey is over a century long but luckily, everyone is in stasis, so they’ll be safe and sound asleep during the trip. Everyone that is, except for Zero, whose pod has malfunctioned, waking him up a hundred years early. His initial excitement in roaming the ship alone quickly turns to a heart-stopping interstellar adventure when a family of space pirates show up, trying to hijack the ship and take the colonizers hostage.

Historia
In 1914, the war which was to have been wrapped up by Christmas had - in reality - only just begun, as all sides entrenched themselves deeper into the Great War. Christmas Eve, 1914 follows one company of British officers as they rotate forward to spend their Christmas on the front lines, a mere 80 yards from the German guns. Upper- and working-class men and boys are thrown together into one trench and struggle to survive.
