In light of some seriously bad revelations about Combs' personal comportment in a variety of contexts, J would say the author goes easy on him in describing his career as a producer. While mentioning " imperious" attitudes toward employees the article certainly doesnt go to great lengths to provide an unvarnished assessment of Combs abusive and criminal behavior.

The Horror! The Horror!

A Very Stable Genius is a close reading of Trump and the Trump " apparatus" and its peculiarly lamentable methods and outlook. Trumps narcissism is unbound and like creeping vegeatation, insinuates itself into everything it touches, from his atavistic children to a Congress riven by venality and instincts for self preservation.
The horror is that there isn't a resolution in sight , at least not an acceptable one. Rucker and Leonni g , give us a step by step examination of the corruption of our founding principles; like the best horror stories, we are gripped with fascination and left with a gnawing sensation in the pit of our stomachs.
