Historia
For decades we've been told that positive thinking is the key to a happy, rich life. "F*ck positivity," Mark Manson says. "Let's be honest, shit is f*cked, and we have to live with it." In his wildly popular Internet blog, Manson doesn't sugarcoat or equivocate. He tells it like it is - a dose of raw, refreshing, honest truth that is sorely lacking today. The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck is his antidote to the coddling, let's-all-feel-good mind-set that has infected modern society and spoiled a generation, rewarding them with gold medals just for showing up.

Don't listen if you're offended by the title. It's brutally honest and contains taboo observations. I enjoyed it and found something I haven't heard before. Give it a fucking try.

This book is incredible. It amazing how humans interact and how that interaction is the foundation of our being. This is a tragic comedy. We can be so much more.

Historia
Success in work, love, and life depends on developing habits that activate the powerful prefrontal cortex when we need it most. Unfortunately, under stress, the human brain tends to revert to emotional habits we forged in toddlerhood: blame, denial, avoidance, reacting to a jerk like a jerk, and turning our connections into cold shoulders - or worse. In Soar Above, renowned relationship expert Dr. Steven Stosny offers a groundbreaking formula for building new, pressure-resistant habits.

Very relevant to the world we live in.
Revisado: 11-16-16
I found the information to be very useful and applicable for me. I've shared it with others who my think would also benefit. The lessons are so relevant to the political environment in America and how it has eroded our ability to empathize, sympathize and demonstrate compassion toward others in the workplace and home.

Annoying mix of dated information.
Revisado: 09-05-16
This is one of the most annoying books I've listened to. I like the technical pieces even though it's easy to find another point of view regarding the quantity of fruit, meat or bacon one should consume. Science continues to evolve. Bashing "diet" makes no sense when going on about what foods we should eat and ones we should avoid is by definition a diet.

Why are some people and organizations more innovative, more influential, and more profitable than others? Why do some command greater loyalty from customers and employees alike? Even among the successful, why are so few able to repeat their successes over and over? People like Martin Luther King Jr., Steve Jobs, and the Wright Brothers might have little in common, but they all started with why.

I enjoyed the information and how I could related it to situations at work when we were obviously off the tracks. Some of us could recognize this, but leadership changeover diluted the spirit of the company to the point where WHY had exited the building. I followed.

Good Material
Revisado: 06-24-16
Good examples to learn from. Some of the references to famous individuals are a bit dated now, and it's interesting to see how some lost the growth mindset with an imbalance in self control along the way. We always have something to learn. Sometimes the speed of the recording seems too fast.

Boring compared and weak in content
Revisado: 04-29-16
I learned very little new information. I felt like the performance was much longer than it needed to be. I found it weird to have an actor read the quotes from the TED performances rather than the actual individual. The TED Radio Hour is far more fulfilling.

Her stories memorable and heart touching stories opened my eyes to my behavior and that of others. I wish I had this earlier in my life, but will definitely give it to our kids. Wow!
