WOW...this book was amazing! I listen to books while I travel on public transit. I don't often cry or laugh out loud but Maggie left me no choice. I had many stares of concern throughout the week. This book is a prime example of Maggie's dedication. She goes above and beyond for her audience to make you feel every feeling and to understand all the nuisances. Thank you for sharing a part of you with the world.

Historia
In Evicted, Princeton sociologist and MacArthur “Genius” Matthew Desmond follows eight families in Milwaukee as they each struggle to keep a roof over their heads. Hailed as “wrenching and revelatory” (The Nation), “vivid and unsettling” (New York Review of Books), Evicted transforms our understanding of poverty and economic exploitation while providing fresh ideas for solving one of twenty-first-century America’s most devastating problems. Its unforgettable scenes of hope and loss remind us of the centrality of home, without which nothing else is possible.

This is a great book. The story telling is well thought out. Even if you have some background about this topic this is a must read. I recommend it to everyone in sight.
