Xander - If I had to describe Sean Bailey, it would be as the sexy, caring, wonderful man I’ve gone and fallen in love with. I never could’ve imagined a world where he was my everything. But with each passing day, the connection between us grows stronger, and the idea of a world without him is something I can’t imagine. But Sean’s love doesn’t come without complications. The one question that remains is: Am I willing to give up the love and friendship of one for the chance of love and forever with another?

Damn cliffhanger
Revisado: 05-12-20
This book was GREAT. My only complaint is there is a cliffhanger with no indication of when the next book will be out. I am a bit salty about this!!! I couldn’t give five stars because of the cliffhanger. I just want a good story with a bit of a conclusion then I don’t mind a part two!!!

Wide-eyed and innocent, you stumbled into my world, never knowing the danger that lurked within. The Wolfe’s Den is no place for a little lamb, but you came anyway, and from the moment you stepped inside, you were mine. In my life there are no happy accidents. Every move is carefully orchestrated. Every situation premeditated. That’s what makes the hunt so intoxicating. What you need, I become. What you crave, I will give. Except the one thing you desire above all else - love.

This book has the potential to be soooooooo much more!!! It just feels incomplete. The narrator takes some getting used to but the wrap up leaves you asking where is the rest of the story.

This book was written in such a way that the listeners emotions moved with the storyline. What women wouldn't want a Holden Maxwell? The author has an amazing ability that allows the listener/reader to fully visualize the scene which ultimately makes this such a great listen as you can see what your hearing.
U enjoyed the length of the book because it fit the story it allows the story to build and resolve in an appropriate length of time. I found myself listening when I should have been sleeping...
I hope the next is as good as this one!!!

What did you love best about One Night: Denied?
The continuation of the Miller and Livvy story did not disappoint. The author does a good job of creating imagery with her words where as a listener/reader you can see and feel what the characters are experiencing. Malpas does an excellent job of telling a story. Although the characters have turmoil surrounding them she still weaves a lovely tale of romance, lust and love. You can feel the determination of the characters as they fight to be with one another. I actually listened to the book twice in a couple of days as I could not put it down. My emotions ran the whole spectrum, anger, saddness, breathlesness, joy and gut wrenching laughter. This was one sexxy book!!
What did you like best about this story?
I did enjoy how she slowly revealed the back story of Miller. The author expertly answers or finishes what was begun in the first book. I generally find most books formulaic however I must admit there were some surprises in this book that were hard to predict. Even if this book followed a formula I did not care. The characters are so rich that the listener becomes invested in them making you root for thier happiness or demise.
I did find at times that Livvy's decisions or actions were ridiculous however I recognized that my reaction spoke more to my own way of dealing with things than the characters. Just when I think she was weak she showed a little "Sass"!
Which scene was your favorite?
My favorite scene was directly after the closet scene. Miller's arrival and actions just endeared me more to his character. You fall for him even more as you see this powerful man succumb to his emotions. Miller Hart is EVERYTHING!!!
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
Some imperfections make the man!!

One night will never be enough...Livy notices him the moment he walks into the coffee shop. He's heart-stoppingly stunning, with a blue-eyed gaze so piercing she's almost too distracted to take his order. When he walks out the door, she thinks she'll never see him again. Then she finds the note he left on his napkin...signed M. All he wants is one night to worship her. No feelings, no commitment, nothing but pleasure. Every defense mechanism Livy has adopted during her solitary life is at risk of being obliterated by this confounding man.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Yes. The characters of this book leave you wanting to hear more about who they are even if it is to prove you were right all along. This book tended to stick to the common formula of this genre and was frankly predictable. However with that being said I did not care it was a very good story and leave you rooting for them to finally get it together. It didnt matter that Livvy annoyed me with her behaviors at times or how i was amazed at the judgement she had. I still liked her. Miller was also your typical hero in my mind but the author left me wanting to see this man personified in real life because frankly he just sounds HOT. Every woman wants a man that just leaves her speechless!!! Good decisions, bad decisions this couple makes you keep listening and rooting.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Miller was my favorite character... The author wrote him in such a way that leaves the reader looking for a real life person to just put a face to the description. He was perfectly flawed. As previously stated this is formulaic as a listener I began to listen for the other shoe to drop as you know it is coming. All of his Idiosyncrasies and secrecy lend to informing the listener that something is coming and perfect just is not as perfect as it seems. So even though the story sticks to the formula as a listener I still hung on and wanted to know.
What about Edita Brychta’s performance did you like?
She provided a clear distinction in the character's voices and even managed to make miller sound as sexxy as I imagined he looked. Great job by her. I will look for other books she has voiced.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
This book made me laugh and get emotional. I ran the gamut of emotions as the characters equally made me smile, frown, laugh, become frustrated and finally sad for them.
Any additional comments?
Although formulaic and a hate that these books are all broken into series and you are forced to get the next book to complete the story I enjoyed it. I hope the next book is as enjoyable because it has been my experience with other books that have series that the author begins phoning it in as the story reaches its conclusion. I hope that is not the case with this series as Miller and Livvy deserve a good storyline.

Once you get past the speed its a good listen
Revisado: 08-19-15
What did you love best about The Wolfe?
The Wolfe's cast of characters made for an enjoyable listen. The story did not have the usual romance features of taking a long time for the characters to fall in love or admit they have fallen in love. I enjoyed the vulnerability of the male characters while they still maintained the strength and character that draws me into historical romance. While the main characters were incredibly enjoyable I really appreciated the attention given to the minor characters as well.
What did you like best about this story?
I think this was a complete story so there is nothing about the story I found lacking. The audio and some mistakes heard did make me question the purchase however if you get past the first chapter or so and put the speed on 1.5 you will be able to enjoy the book.
Would you listen to another book narrated by Guy Veryzer?
not if it drags like this did... I could not tell if it was the audio itself or the narrator with issue.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
I found myself smiling and laughing several times.
Any additional comments?
The first chapter or so will have you questioning your purchase but if you speed up the audio and perserve you will get to a point where it seems to correct and you can begin to enjoy the book.

Intense listen
Revisado: 08-03-15
I selected this book as I wanted a good story for a long road trip. Turned out to be a good listen. I thoroughly enjoyed the characters. They equally made me laugh, tear up and angry. I found myself getting irritated with the female lead as she made some rash decisions and could be manipulative.
I think the male characters were developed nicely especially the male lead as you could feel the growth in him. While the Christopher character and the Marcus character were often compared in physicality and looks I found a certain sexiness about Christopher that Marcus lacked as he seemed to have more depth.
The story was a good one that I enjoyed how the Nottingham story line played in a more widely known story. The author did a great job of interweaving historical fact and fancy throughout the book.
There were some slow points which I found myself forwarding through but I do not know if
that was the story or the characters displaying traits I did not like in my romance novels.
All in all I would recommend this book!!

Revisado: 07-08-15
Julie Garwood is my favorite romance author. From beginning to end I am either smiling, laughing or tearing up. This book was no exception. Good story and characters that were either easily liked or easily hated.
The narrator did a good job conveying the characters emotions. The listener could feel the happiness, anger, terror and all other emotions due to the narrator.
This will definitely be one I will listen to again!!

This audio book has been one of the best listens ever!!! The characters were full of your not so typical characteristics. These characters were easy to love. The Male and female leads were the most hilariously flawed people I have ever seen. This was laugh out loud funny. The romance seemed genuine and the naughty bits were HOT!!!
I will definitely listen to this again. I can not wait to the release of the other books by this author!!!
