Lots of “takeaways”
Revisado: 04-12-19
Dan gives a lot of tips for living as he describes “10% happier”. I enjoyed the insights into the high stress environment of broadcast television and how the author dealt with what some may consider highly stressful situations. Got a little too sardonic during the Buddhist retreat chapter, but otherwise was enjoyable.

Historia
Ulysses is regarded by many as the single most important novel of the 20th century. It tells the story of one day in Dublin, June 16th 1904, largely through the eyes of Stephen Dedalus (Joyce's alter ego from Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man) and Leopold Bloom, an advertising salesman. Both begin a normal day, and both set off on a journey around the streets of Dublin, which eventually brings them into contact with one another.

Audio Isn’t Normalized
Revisado: 02-27-19
The most frustrating part of this book is that the narrator will go from the quietest whisper that you cannot hear and immediately scream or shout rupturing your ear drums. Listener beware..

Historia
Winner of the 1973 National Book Award, Gravity's Rainbow is a postmodern epic, a work as exhaustively significant to the second half of the 20th century as Joyce's Ulysses was to the first. Its sprawling, encyclopedic narrative and penetrating analysis of the impact of technology on society make it an intellectual tour de force.

I’ll just say the narrator did a fantastic job with this one. The book is a fun filled adventure to boot

Great bunch of stories there's something to learn each time through. Could have been organized in chapters maybe?

Geeky 80's nostalgia-fest
Revisado: 10-02-15
This book is packed full of references from the 80s and 90s, so you can tell the author was passionate about the book. I just found it to be a somewhat obvious story, though still fun and well written.

Historia
At some point, every one of us embarks on a journey to find love. We meet people, date, get into and out of relationships, all with the hope of finding someone with whom we share a deep connection. This seems standard now, but it’s wildly different from what people did even just decades ago. Single people today have more romantic options than at any point in human history. With technology, our abilities to connect with and sort through these options are staggering. So why are so many people frustrated?

Aziz made me realize how lazy I am
Revisado: 07-27-15
By listening to his book rather than reading it - Aziz constantly will point out how lazy you are. I hope that's a good indication for how insightful his views are on modern romance.
For the record I am admittedly lazy.
