Addicting but meh

I liked the world building even if it isn't terribly unique. The writing of the main couple's interactions frequently annoyed me. They couldn't seem to find a balance between overly male dominating and female assertiveness. I know that's the main struggle of the book, but felt it wasn't smoothly written. That said, I'm seriously considering buying the next book
