Great Book, Poor Audio Quality

This book was a well-structured, trauma-informed look at mental health. The author uses a good amount of potty words for authenticity and informality, and it can come across as clunky when juxtaposed against the subject matter, but it adds to the overall accessibility of the book.

My only real gripe is that the audio recording and editing could use a remaster. The audio echoes, you can hear the mic cable (or headphone cable) rattle on occasion, and there are a few cross faded cuts where you can hear both takes overlap. In a way, this contributes to the overall experience of the audiobook.

This book is a propulsive, present-tense account of just over an hour of postulated events, starting with the most important weapon ever fired and going through the least important, most absurd weapon, the last missile ever fired.

Industrial Disaster Told as a Mystery Movie

This account of the SL-1 accident includes human elements I had never heard before, and its explicit narrative of the exact moment of the accident will remain in my memory for quite some time.
My shallow criticism: in some cases creative language (e.g., "agitated neutrons," "lasso the atom") actually detracted from certain parts of a story that could have been told with plain descriptive terms or even basic technical language.
I highly recommend this story to any person with existing notions of the SL-1 accident, or to any person with an interest in industrial emergency planning.

Nice Policy Outline

This was a nice introduction to our new VP. I only wish she had written about a decision she feels she got wrong. It comes across a job interview, and the answer to "What's your greatest weakness?" seems to be "Well, I think I might care too much and work too hard."
