Historia
Alex Miller is a criminal defense lawyer leading the life he always imagined. At thirty-five, he is the youngest partner at New York City's most prestigious law firm, with a beautiful wife and a perfect daughter. When Alex's father suddenly passes away, Alex is introduced to Michael Ohlig, a rich and powerful man who holds an almost mythical place in his family lore. But Alex is surprised when Ohlig admits that he's in serious legal trouble, accused of crimes involving hundreds of millions of dollars.

Where's a good sub-editor when you need one!
Revisado: 09-30-12
This story started well and become tedious; every minutiae of the legal proceedings! This book could have done with some good sub editing. Also, I love David LeDoux, but he was not the right person to narrate this story, he is far too boyish which made the main character seem immature and unable to accept responsibility which I don't believe was the writer's intention.

Excellent premise

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?
I had to put this audio book on 2x speed, it just went into too much detail
Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?
Yes, I really did not expect the ending at all.
Which scene was your favorite?
When Andy tells his wife his past, I really didn't think it mattered so much but her reaction becomes crucial to the rest of the story

Historia
Alexander McCall Smith, best-selling author of The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency, has turned his hand to humour. The delightful result is a creation of comic genius. For in the unnaturally tall form of Professor Doctor Moritz-Maria von Igelfeld, we are invited to meet a memorable character whose sublime insouciance is a blend of the cultivated pomposity of Frasier Crane and of Inspecteur Clouseau's hapless gaucherie.

I don't know if there is category called best re-listenable, if there is then this is No.1. This is a lovely book and Hugh Laurie does a superb job; fills each character with a unique personality and reads with such dry wit. I truely love this audiobook.
