fantastic start to a thrilling new YA PNR series

I loved the story, so much that I read it and then listened to the audiobook. Sarah Puckett does an extraordinary job bringing life to the various characters of the story. Her narration was impeccable. This story is a wonderful mix of paranormal with a thriller/suspense edge. Callie is a young girl who finds herself on an island to help her uncle who works in a circus. However this is no ordinary circus. There's something terribly wrong going on, with the people who work there as well as the circus goers. Soon Callie finds herself attracted to Samuel who may or may not be someone she can trust. To top it all off Benny who seemed friendly at first may be dangerous after all. All she wants is to get back home to California but that may prove to be complicated. Who can she trust and will she survive the magical craziness surrounding the island? Cant wait for the next installment!!!

I absolutely LOVED this audiobook. I've read books by Sara Fields before but never a Reverse Harem because I rarely enjoy them. I'm a one-man to one-woman type of gal. But once in a while a RH is written in a way that draws the risque sex kitten out of me and I'm purring away for more of the author's holy sensual goodness. That is what Sara Fields did to me with Frenzy. We meet Raven and Alix, both city dwellers living under a dome where the population is constantly breathing suppressants to keep their natural dynamics hidden. This is purposely done to help society not fall victim to their baser instincts to savagely mate. Raven,a top notch scientist, and Alix are out in the Wilds looking for a plant that will help Raven develop a powerful suppressant. They are attacked and without their medical gear, they dont have additional suppressants. Soon enough Alix shows his true nature as an Alpha and Raven starts to feel her Omega dynamic come to the fore. They engage in a merciless savage and delicious mating leaving them both panting for more. But Alix is not the only Alpha nearby; Wolf and Ivan are two Alpha brothers who roam the Wilds. They have scented Raven and claimed her as their mate. Despite some turmoil it is clear that Raven wants the three as her Alpha mates. Just when things start to settle between the 4 mates, danger snaps shut their mating bliss. Now the Alphas must seek help to bring Raven back to safety and eleimate the threat to their bond. I was hooked from the start with Raven and Alix. Once Wolf and Ivan were added it gave their story a rough feral edge I didnt know I needed. Getting insights on how each mate felt and experienced the bond was thrilling. I will definitely look to continue the series!

thrilling love story of lion mates

I loved this exciting and steamy story featuring a lion and his mate. The narrating was fantastic. I loved the different tones and voices that made the story come alive. Nash and Denali have a brief but profound past. Forced into captivity, they find their mate in each other. Their animals instinctively know they belong to each other but their human sides struggle to see and accept it. They are separated for three years after one passionate meeting, but to Nash it was a life altering meeting. He has been searching for her and now he finally has a chance to reunite with the mate his animal yearns for. However their reunion is filled with so many uncertainties and one huge surprise. And as if that wasnt complicated enough, someone from their past is looking for Denali! Will Nash overcome his internal demons and step up to be the protector he needs to be? Amazing and captivating story, you dont want to miss it!

rebel dragon warrior and his true mate

Once again Selena Scott creates a fantastical story in the dragon realm universe. Meghan Kelly does a great job in narrating the story. I loved how Solar and Zara have a background as kids growing up in the castle. She, a designated wife to the tyrannical king, and he, a serf to serve the king. That is until he renounces the king and escapes to form the rebellion. Zara is rescued from forced wifedom and starts to live with the rebellion. Things have changed between Zara and Sol because she is about to enter her fertility season. Sol wants to deny the inevitable while Zara is naively unaware of the changes that have already begun to happen with her biology. Sol wants to remain laser focused on the rebellion and wants nothing to distract him. Zara never wants a husband, having been forced into being a wife, and then escaped, she does not desire it at all. Will these two overcome their personal strife with mating and find love... listen or read to find out!

steamy forbidden love

I am pretty sure I read this book but I didnt find it in my library so I kept listening. I was enthralled by the story instantaneously. Lucy is a human woman taken from her home to be the dragon king's breeder wife. Amos is the loyal guard who is tasked with protecting Lucy. Destiny has plans for these two despite Amos engrained devotion to the monarchy and Lucy's desire to escape. Once they both accept the inevitable, their lives taken on a whole new path that will lead to a showdown. A super enjoyable story with a hot steamy dragon shifter who is deliciously devoted to his human mate. I hope the next book is available soon!

unnecessary humiliation but amazing narration

Once again Jack Calihan does a spectacular job narrating a questionable story. I struggled to understand why such humiliation over using a ladder? I really dont like dominating male leads who dont have a valid reason for humiliating their mates. At least the punishments were not unbearably brutal, but I still walked away feeling like she was emotionally abused. The narration was perfection! Jack does the sexiest Alpha male voice, and pulls off a cute female voice. Thank you Jack!!!

fascinating story with intrigue and young love

I absolutely loved this audiobook. I read the book years ago and it has been a wonderful experience listening to the book 4 years later. The story remains the same, filled with tons of mystery, conspiracies, heartache and courage. Naomi is a young girl who finds herself in a fantastical world of guardians and destroyers, all powerful beings that derive their power from fallen Angels. They work at trying yo keep a balance between the good and bad. She has to find her way in this new world she's discovered and who she is meant to be. I highly recommend this book and the entire series.

perfectly narrated but story was disappointing

The narration of this story was perfection. Jack Calihan was brilliant. He made me want to finish the book when I was ready to quit. Unfortunately the story lacked a redeeming hero, who in this book is a typical brutal savage Alpha, that never fills the role of the loving noble understanding Alpha mate. I've read plenty of dark shifter reads and I'm comfortable with the spanking, punishment, when it is nicely wrapped into a story that shows how both the female and male leads grow from the experience. I didn't see it here. Alaric is the Alpha wolf and Rowen is the shewolf. She is a skilled and admired ALPHA female, yes that's right, Alpha FEMALE! The story just tramples over her with Alaric coming in to punish her for her disobedience and her struggle to accept her destiny. She must step down and accept being a fated mate, something she never ever wanted to do. I get it, she is headstrong and it was clear spankings and punishments would be part of getting her to acquiesce. But to have her completely humiliated without any regard or consideration to her accomplishments was almost intolerable. As I said at the beginning of my review, Jack's perfect narration is what kept me steady until the end. This book could have redeemed itself had Alaric at some point seen the light and realized Rowen should be a part of helping him rule. Those nasty rules of not being able to speak unless she is allowed and needing permission to wear pants, could have been amended even if it was something as small as asking for Rowen's input. There was plenty of steamy scenes and that was the only time where I at least felt Rowen was done justice. Had any of the intimate scenes been non con or even dub con, and none weren't, I probably would have needed Jack to sit next to me and read the story to me in person because otherwise I would have missed the ending which again missed an opportunity to reward and highlight Rowen's leadership skills and bravery.

fantastic epic ride!

I was absolutely enthralled by the story. First time listening to a dragon story and it was a fun ride. I had a hard time stopping and when I did I wanted to get back ASAP. I particularly liked when we start to meet more purple dragon riders. I liked how Shana, the top dragon rider comes to handle business. I loved how Hubric and Amel grow stronger in their bond and love for each other, like a fatherly role for her. I felt that Leng and Amel lacked the sizzling chemistry I had experience from reading the first 5 books. At times it was difficult for me to discern one character's voice from another, relying heavily on clues that would signal who was speaking. Overall I enjoyed the audiobook and will be looking to finish the series.
