Letdown after the first book
Revisado: 12-14-24
The first book transcended the cliches of the noir genre. This one felt like it fell right into them.

Strong beginning and ending but a slow middle
Revisado: 07-17-24
I liked the resolution and the moral quandaries of the beginning, but there is too much of a focus on 80’s pop culture. What was energetic and fresh in the first book feels really forced this time. It becomes a real slog and you’re hoping to characters will find the shards as quickly as possible.
