the only problem I have with this story, besides the fact that it's a little slow, is that the author insists on using the phrase "umpteen times",... well, umpteen times. lol bad editing I guess. the story is fine though.

first ten "chapters" were great , but then king introduced Holly. she complains that the whole world didn't want to stay locked up because of covid, and "thousands " would die. well, what about now Holly? we aren't locked up, where are all those people dying? and what about the flu? should we stay locked up to keep old people from dying of the flu? then she rambles on about how bad Trump is and thank God Joe Biden is In office now! all I can do is LOL. how's ol Biden working for you now king? I just couldn't stomach the nonsense so I refunded it. probably a good book and I personally love king. I was looking forward to holly.

political opinions aside, which do me mangle the story a bit...... what I would hard to swallow was the actual writing. it's written from a tell point of view... not a show point of view. I don't know .. just hard to get used to. the story itself is good.... but the political views, as I've said do bring you out of the story. it's like trying to enjoy a shit in a luxury hotel.. but finding the previous user didn't flush.

even if you liked this book, which I did like it, sort of... the ending is lackluster and the other two books in the series are not on auditable. while the author mildly entertained me, I was left feeling like, if she could publish a novel, I definitely could. the plot was poor and the author spent to much time in the main characters head. I would say give it a read if you have nothing else at the moment. 3/5 stars... it gets 3 stars for giving me hope that even I could write a novel.

every chapter in this book is golden. I learned a lot and marks easy teaching style made it a fun experience. mark does however dismiss most of pick up theory out of hand however and I think that's a mistake....a very common mistake, because most people forget that pick up, or "game" was created for a very specific purpose....to allow average men to pick up women of exceptional beauty......in other words, to confuse 10s into mistaking an average Joe for a man of quality. besides this forgivable mistake, this book is a must read.
