pretty good post-apocalyptic story in the vein of I am legend. overall well worth the listen. the only real drawback is the narrator. while overall a relatively good performance perhaps a little bit of research into some of the specialized jargon would have come in handy. unfortunately he breaks the immersive nature of the story when he blatantly messes up and mispronounces the names of some of the equipment and tactics and things like that otherwise a very good series

It is impossible to recommend this book enough

Robert McCammon takes the story of good vs evil to a whole new level. Moving and pulling in at times disturbing and awful at others. McCammon leads the reader along beautifully with memorable characters and struggles that leaves you unable to wait to see what happens next. Simply one of the best books in modern literature.

Fantastic

Block has a real talent for developing lovable characters. Dialogue never feels forced or fake. Bernie is a delightful character, a simple guy who is well read and articulate. Quick of wit and a big heart. Only problem is he's a crook.
Block so masterfully leads the reader along that by the storys climax you are caught up rooting for him to pull all the threads together.

I read this book as a teenager years ago. Still every bit as fun and irreverent as I remember. I would happily recommend this book to almost anyone

Pretty good story despite its many flaws

all in all a pretty good story that is unfortunately hurt by the authors ham fisted political views. There is a lot of filler and lists here but they don't bring down the story much. However the author trying to force feed his political views do. He reduces his main protagonist to nothing better than a cliche Bond villain, and not a good one at that.

What other book might you compare Words of Radiance to and why?

Frank Herbert's Dune. for the multi-layered complex story structure. And the grand sweeping scale of the story.

Have you listened to any of Michael Kramer and Kate Reading ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

yes I've listened to a few including the way of the Kings. they do a much better job on this book simply because they both use the same pronunciation for characters names

Brandon Sanderson is shaping up to be one of the premier modern fantasy writers the new Stormlight archive series really displays his skill and prowess at his art. I simply cannot wait until the next book
