Beautiful characters will make you laugh and cry as you hear their story.

This was an excellent journey back into an earlier time, where everyone had to work hard for very little. The reading of this audio book was one of the best I've heard. The characters were well developed and brought to life brilliantly. This is a story filled with laughter, sadness, and happiness. I will be on the lookout for more by this author.

Excellent book with an excellent narrator

I used to read all of this author's books but for no reason, I quit. This is an excellent story and I loved all of the characters in it. I was particularly impressed by how he merged two stories into one. The person who narrated this was brilliant! I loved that I was actually scared at times. I will be reading/listening to more books by this fantastic author.

A great series for these pandemic times

This is one of those books with characters that draw you into the storyline quickly. I decided to get this book to see what another pandemic might look like and I was amazed by the similarities. I won't list any details due to spoilers but if you enjoy books about thr end of the world as we know it, this one is great. The narration of this book is smooth and easy flowing. I am excited to begin reading book 2 in this great series.

Great from page one. The characters are brought to life in such a way that I began to feel as if I was in the book. This one will make you laugh, cry, and wonder at the thought process of people. Above all, it will enlighten you on how some people throughout time have had such terrible troubles yet remain good, kind people. I will listen/read this book again and have already recommended it to several others.

If you love werewolves...

This set of books is a great deal if you love a scary, gory, story about furry killing and eating machines. Book one starts out with a bang and it kept me in suspense! Book 2 was a back story of some of the characters introduced in book one. Book 3, well, is a blood bath! I love scary things and this series is different and refreshing and I look forward to more.
