Historia
American freedom is being gutted. Whether we are trying to run a business, practice a vocation, raise our families, cooperate with our neighbors, or follow our religious beliefs, we run afoul of the government—not because we are doing anything wrong but because the government has decided it knows better. When we object, that government can and does tell us, “Try to fight this, and we’ll ruin you.”

The fatal construction by the American bureaucracy
Revisado: 07-26-18
The author well outlines all the flaws with our bureaucracy and it’s not pretty. Although he concludes the book with reforms that could well change our collision course, in the end he calls it at least a shot of a chance but the books underlying tone belies his hope that it is possible. Notability absent is the country’s departure from shared moral standards of which the founding fathers said were of absolute necessity for a sustained democracy.
Moral relativism has replaced our Christian heritage. Mr. Murray always has keen insight into socio-political issues and this book is no exception I highly recommend it.

Women's romance NOT science fiction
Revisado: 04-12-17
I bought this book thinking it was a sciencefiction but it actually is a romantic tale definitely written for women in a pretext of science fiction. Women will love it, men forget it

Let's hope there is not a sequel
Revisado: 05-04-16
This is my least enjoyable book from audible even including those I returned. The author seems lost interest in the subject early in the book feeling the pages with poorly connecting data to the main theme and he uses metaphors that are disjointed bringing added confusion rather than clarity.
By the time the end of the book the pages run on with filler as if to make a page quota. Add to this is a narrator whose sing song delivery is more fitting narrating a book on the joy of kite flying than what is supposed to be a serious subject.
This book is not the concise and crisp covering of the subject matter I hoped it would be.

Historia
While getting into his car on the evening of February 16, 1978, the chief of the CIA's Moscow station was handed an envelope by an unknown Russian. Its contents stunned the Americans: details of top-secret Soviet research and development in military technology that was totally unknown to the United States.

I must say out of the many books I've listened to one audible exciting story was only topped by the superb narrators talent.

This is more than a "story," it is an account of a man's experience with eternal decisions that evokes a response of the same kind on the part of the reader.

Historia
The United States is more vulnerable today than ever before - including during the Great Depression and the Civil War - because the pillars of democracy that once supported a booming middle class have been corrupted, and without them, America teeters on the verge of the next Great Crash. The United States is in the midst of an economic implosion that could make the Great Depression look like child's play.

Hey leftist diatribe
Revisado: 01-19-15
Would you try another book from Thom Hartmann and/or Dan Woren?
Probably not
What was most disappointing about Thom Hartmann’s story?
The title is misleading in the suggestion economic explanation for the coming crash in 2016. Instead is A left this historical account given from a liberal left point of you. If you see things from the right you will see that there are inconsistencies and a historical picture from that point of view. Of course from my point of view it is inaccurate and wrong account of history. Furthermore it really doesn't discuss any kind of explanation of how the economic mechanizations will form any kind of conclusion to his title name of this book.
