Historia
How did Fidel Castro fool the CIA for a generation? Why did Neville Chamberlain think he could trust Adolf Hitler? Why are campus sexual assaults on the rise? Do television sitcoms teach us something about the way we relate to each other that isn't true? While tackling these questions, Malcolm Gladwell was not solely writing a book for the page. He was also producing for the ear. In the audiobook version of Talking to Strangers, you’ll hear the voices of people he interviewed - scientists, criminologists, military psychologists.

Mostly Disappointed
Revisado: 10-01-19
I liked the portion on suicides, how Amanda Knox was presumed guilty, however, the social justice piece of supporting victimhood was to much to stomach. If sandra Bland, Freddie Gray and others would have complied or acted respectfully they may still be alive. but, Sandra may have committed suicide successfully at a later time. she had tried many times and Malcolm talked about suicide at length. it i's sad to see Malcolm stop to such a low level in a good portion of this book to push a social opinion.

Historia
The "smart and zippy account" (The Wall Street Journal) of how Las Vegas saved Elvis and Elvis saved Las Vegas in the greatest musical comeback of all time. At once "a fascinating history of Vegas as gambling capital, celebrity playground, mob hangout, [and] entertainment Valhalla” (Rolling Stone) and the incredible "tale of how the King got his groove back" (Associated Press), Elvis in Vegas is a classic feel-good story for the ages.

Living in Las Vegas is hard. it is a transitional city which the book describes.
