Historia
A shadow has fallen over the Tressian Republic. Ruling families - once protectors of justice and democracy - now plot against one another with sharp words and sharper knives. Blinded by ambition, they remain heedless of the threat posed by the invading armies of the Hadari Empire. Yet as Tressia falls, heroes rise. As war spreads across the Republic, three must set aside their differences in order to save their home. Yet decades of bad blood are not easily set aside.

Got good but no mark.
Revisado: 01-02-25
It started off slow as most new series I started tend to but during the middle and the latter parts of the story it got a better but I can’t get behind the end. Nor the buildup to a kind of lack luster story.

I stand corrected.
Revisado: 12-04-24
I will admit I wasn’t quite fun of the story and the characters too much and book one, but I had to go into book 2 and see if that would change in the beginning of book 2 I still was on the fence but by the end of book 2 I was all in book 3 introduced, Not the best villain, but a worthy foe. Each book kind of introduces more lower and it works well enough, but would make everything great is the friendship between Dante and Blays.

Lack of interest.
Revisado: 07-18-24
Throughout the whole book, I kept trying to get interested, but it was just super meh. The story was conveniently boring, but I respect the author taking his time out to write a book but it wasn’t for me.

Making an epic
Revisado: 03-21-24
I enjoy the series. Well I’m on book 2, so I enjoy book 2 I was hoping for a little bit more attachment to characters although I am interested in all of the characters, there is a certain something that is lacking. I can’t say what it is but the story, the performance were good it makes you want to go back to previous books to catch things that you missed which is the sign of an epic being made hopefully takes it to that epic status, but overall this was an excellent read,

Historia
It has been 20 years since the end of the war. The dictatorial Augurs, once thought of almost as gods, were overthrown and wiped out during the conflict, their much-feared powers mysteriously failing them. Those who had ruled under them, men and women with a lesser ability known as the Gift, avoided the Augurs' fate only by submitting themselves to the rebellion's Four Tenets.

A good meal.
Revisado: 12-13-23
This, in the beginning, had me worried because I didn’t really gravitate to anyone. I was waiting for that moment of intrigue. The world building was slow but when it started to get interesting, it grabbed me like I feel a book should… if that makes sense. I was totally invested in the magical system, somewhat the politics. I’m intrigued to learn more about this world. I would like a little bit more world building. The twist and turns were satisfying, but we’re lacking a certain something.. I will say it was enough to have me buying the hardcopy and finding out if there’s a part two and reading that. This was a good story.

Historia
After decades of internecine warfare, the tribes of the Tiste Edur have at last united under the Warlock King of the Hiroth. There is peace - but it has been exacted at a terrible price: a pact made with a hidden power whose motives are at best suspect, at worst, deadly. To the south, the expansionist kingdom of Lether, eager to fulfill its long-prophesized renaissance as an Empire reborn, has enslved all its less-civilized neighbors with rapacious hunger. All, that is, save one - the Tiste Edur. And it must be only a matter of time before they too fall.

praise the force
Revisado: 11-27-20
This book has to be the number one Star Wars novel I've ever read. It explains exactly why and how things got in motion in an elegant almost poetic way. Getting inside Civ Palpatine's head was amazing learning about the dark side of the force even the light side of the force was amazing. Darth Plagueis is a brilliant and wonderfully wriiten character. This is an adult Star Wars book in the way presents its story.
