Historia
In this award-winning Audible Studios production, Trevor Noah tells his wild coming-of-age tale during the twilight of apartheid in South Africa. It’s a story that begins with his mother throwing him from a moving van to save him from a potentially fatal dispute with gangsters, then follows the budding comedian’s path to self-discovery through episodes both poignant and comical.

Wow. So much as Americans knever knew. Since Trevor speaks so many different languages, he could pronounce the foreign words on audio. If reading ha. No mention how he ended up in the states. Tough love book. I loved it.

Another great one
Revisado: 11-12-22
I purchased several at once just to listen to the series. Chapter 83 authors talk about book order up to this one as well as non-Pendergast series. I started with the non Pendergast first and like their writing. The reader is so clear ans exciting to listen to.

The reader does a great job with making this an even more wonderful story. Book is older I thought it might be a movie. Nope. I understand why it won so many awards. Great work to the two writers. Thanks for your wtiting.

I am just struggling, not for me.
Revisado: 06-17-22
I have started this book three times and made it to part two chapter 13, I give up. Just not my cup of tea. I like Dean Koontz but this book bothers me, with some of the material. Not sure the reader if it's his voice or what. I get the impression he is trying to be like a joe Friday, 1950s style of reading just not doing it for me. I have had it so long and listened too much to return it. OH well, this is a first for me of 250 books in my library.

Now going to purchase a non-fiction on same topic. Enjoy listening. The performer speaks clearly, different languages, and several different voices. Excellent work.

Historia
A mummified corpse, over half a century old, is found in the cellar of an abandoned building in a remote New Mexico ghost town. Corrie Swanson is assigned what seems to her a throwaway case: to ID the body and determine cause of death. She brings archaeologist Nora Kelly to excavate the body and lend her expertise to the investigation, and together they uncover something unexpected and shocking: the deceased apparently died in agony, in a fetal position, skin coming off in sheets, with a rictus of horror frozen on his face. Hidden on the corpse lies a 16th-century Spanish gold cross.
