Although he holds a doctorate in depression, author Greg L. Russ chose to create this audiobook from a patient's point of view. Having suffered five clinical bouts, Russ offers a graphic look inside the dark abyss while chronicling the insights he learned when his depression intersected God's mercy. The audiobook extends an invitation to families, friends, churches, and their pastors to become part of the comforting process.

May be a good read, IF you're a Baptist

I made it to chapter three, to be fair. There was entirely too much focus on religious views and so much commentary about how judgemental the author's church peers are against mental illness that all this book did is reinforce my frustration about organized religion.
I'll also note that it is peculiar how this book has a five start rating. At the time of my review there was only one two star review for this book.

Life is a completely lawful experience because of the universal laws of reincarnation and karma that draw individuals together. Rather than being some type of unavoidable destiny or a fate about which we can do very little, the Edgar Cayce material instead sees karma as essentially an unconscious reservoir of information stored within the soul's memory.

An excellent guidebook to bring you to grace

I enjoy learning from Edgar Cayce's wisdom and experience but struggle with his biblical \Old English style writings. I am extremely pleased with Kevin J. Todeschi's writing, research, and the Cayce readings he selected for this book. I hope that Todeschi has, or will, translate more of Cayce's work so I am able to digest and discover the pathways for my soul's development.
Thank you for making Cayce's work comprehensible for those of us who do not "speak" biblical English!

Incredibly relevant to the time we are in

A brilliant story, both suspenseful and psychologically thrilling. I was on the edge of my seat until the very end. With so many variables at play, this story left me wondering what would I do if I were ever in a similar situation as this family.
Excellent narration as well!
