the main characters are brain dead

the narration is fantastic

Every time the characters do anything noteworthy, they end up ruining it by turning all of their allies against them via angsty tantrums. It's the story of two girls who never listen to anyone, because they "don't feel like it" and it destroys everything for them.

The only reason they're alive is literal miracles happening over and over again. Absolutely zero character growth. I kept waiting and waiting for them to adapt to their new reality... nope

It ended how it began really. Life reset... but for a ton of other people. I love how the ending is a bitter sweet moment. Nothing is more dull than another star wars award ceremony ending.

shit gets real,
I really hope the mc doesn't go back, gets a real gf(there was no connection with teeca), has a buddy to just eat pizza and drink beer with, and just moves on.


What a great series. I loved the unique premise. the only thing I didn't like was the relationship with teeca. I didn't buy that he loved her, there was just zero interaction to build anything between them. other than that, fantastic series

it's a great story, but good damn these people would never survive game of thrones.

they place honor over logic at every turn and it's cute, but slightly annoying.
it's a great story, so don't let that tiny gripe stop you, just be aware that it's there.

expands upon the first exceptionally

Begins right where the first left off. The story picks up the pace dramatically.

Richter develops his powers and his village in this installment. In addition, he learns of several looming threats in the distance.

It never slows down and I love it.

two of the blades are great, one is baffling

Valen and cadan are interesting and have great development/struggles/strengths and weaknesses. Adera is painfully stupid. It was painful to listen to her chapters.

If I learn she's removed from the next book I'll buy it.
