My gosh, I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE this series and this ending was TOO. DIE. FOR! The narration is as always spot on! Here is my original review of this book.
My love is deeper than the holler... (Don't worry I'm not going to sing. )
Man Robin and Elle never fail to disappoint and are quickly becoming some of my auto-buy authors.
The Crimson Kingdom starts up shortly after the events of the previous book.
Our poor Rowen and her family are dealing with a lot emotionally and by rote this book feels much heavier in tone than any of the other Lochlann books. But don't take that as a bad thing! We all know that Robin and Elle can make us laugh and swoon but this book had me in tears not once but twice! And I VERY rarely cry when I read. One of those times was for a secondary character who we don't even meet...I cried over a character that was only mentioned. Wow!
That's powerful writing.

Anywho, like I said this book had all of the emotions for me. I laughed, cried, I screamed, and almost threw my book when a certain loveable aalio was being his aalio self.
I really can not recommend this series enough and I'm eternally grateful I only need to wait two weeks but the conclusion in book 4.
Oh side note, this book was a super quick read. I think I finished it in 4 hours or so.

I loved this audiobook! I read it first on paper and hearing the narration just gives it a new dimension to love. Also, come back after you read all 4 books and hear it from a totally new perspective. MIND! BLOWN! Again I loved Olivia King's voice and how she differentiates between the different characters and accents. Below is my original review of the book itself.

I can’t tell you how much I loved this book! I could seriously stay in the Lochlann world forever and be a happy camper.
Poor Rowan can’t seem to keep herself out of trouble and the tension between her and a certain heir lord is * Chef’s kiss*
I love the mix of sarcasm, humor, and drama this series brings. It makes you FEEL ALL THE THINGS at one point or another.
AND between that ending and the epilog, it leaves you frothing at the mouth for book 3.
I have so much to say about this book but for the sake of not spoiling it like a bad fish stew, I’ll leave it at this...Pick this series up and read it. You will not be disappointed.
(feel free to contact me after when you need to gush.)

The Lochlann Feuds was the highlight ok my 2021 reading year. It turned this 40ish mom into a fan girl and I'm not assaimed. Do yourself a favor and listen or read this series. The narrator has such a lovely voice she is a joy to listen to AND she does the other accents too!! I'm including my original review just below. 👇

Man, I can’t tell you how excited I am to enter back into the world of the Lochlann Treaty! I had so much fun with this book! I probably would have read it in one sitting except for #adulting.
Rowan is such a fun character. She’s a little spoiled, brash, and has ZERO filters on her sass which leads her to make stupid decisions without thought of the consequences. Through an unwitting accident, she’s faced to face the harsh reality of her choices. Mommy and Daddy aren’t there to smooth things over and now her and her cousin’s lives are on the line. There was really good character development in the story and it seems like she will continue to grow throughout the series.
The whole time I was trying to figure out Lord Theodore and Evander’s motives. Who’s really the good guy? Is he really the bad guy?? Do we have a little Mr. Darcy/Mr. Wickham thing going on? I DON’T KNOW! It’s going to drive me crazy till November!
I got to the last page without realizing it and I tried to turn the page 5 or 6 times before I realized that was the end. I was in the staff lunchroom at work and It was a supreme effort not to make a dramatic scene right then and there. LOL!In conclusion, can it be November yet??

I had the pleasure of reading and reviewing this story last year and since then I've become Insta-friends with the author on Bookstagram. So when I saw an opportunity to review the audiobook I was excited to "re-read" it in a new format. The story was just as charming as I remembered it to be and the narration was spot on! I could sure listen to Olivia Barnes-Brett's English accent all day long. She did a wonderful job bringing this story to life.
I've included my original review because I still feel the same way about the book. Here it is!

This was a very enjoyable story. It was a lot lighter than most of the YA I've been reading with war-torn worlds. If you love a classic princess story this is a book for you. Piper is a princess in a land that is scientifically advanced. They only eat healthy foods like kale cubes. Never any sugar or alcohol. Things like gambling, jokes, and love are thought of as wastes of time and are avoided at all costs. They are very robotic seemingly cold people. Children are nannies by robots. so avoid the added emotion I suppose. ( Kinda sounds like volcans from Star Trek right?!) Even Piper's marriage is set up with a man who, on paper is the smartest in her age bracket. Piper is seen as a misfit because she showed moral weakness by crying at her parent's funeral. The whole community seems to despise her for her supposed weakness.
One day Piper receives a mysterious note saying that her deceased mother is hiding in the neighboring kingdom's palace. This kingdom is the complete opposite of hers. Piper sees an opportunity to find her lost mother and she takes it.
I see several influences in this story. Romeo and Juliet, The kingdoms are called Capalon and Mondaria/ Capulet and Montague‎? Cinderella.
At times I felt like I was watching Cinderella dropped into High School The Musical.
I found the writing charming, I loved the cast characters. There were ever some surprising twists in the road.
My only complaint was the ending. I THINK it's being set up for a book 2 but it left me with the need for more info. It almost felt like a chapter more was needed OR possibly a few paragraphs less. Either way, I look forward to more from this author.
