Love this installment of the Goode series! Sarah took such relatable parts of motherhood and marriage and gave them a light at the end of the tunnel that fulfills many a readers fantasies for greater connection and love without bounds. Artful weaving of the previous storyline in the series while also giving tastes of what’s to come for the next character focus in the series. *chefs kiss*

Stunning audio and story

The performance AND production choices for this book were absolutely top notch. And the story was just as delightful as it was dark. I’m sincerely looking forward to the coming titles in this series as we see the characters stories play out and the beautiful audio work I have come to expect from Joe Arden and Blue Nose Audio.

Madame Masterpiece

The final installment of the Salacious Players Club series was a beautiful tying together of all the players and Madame Kink herself. I will admit, I had a bit of a hard time adjusting to Eden's inner monologue at first. As Madame Kink in the previous books she was always so confident so getting to "look behind the curtain" of her thoughts to find the differences between that and her club persona was a surprise. But as the story went on it became so clear why Sara Cate made these choices as a writer and it made the love found in the story all the more powerful. The FFM relationship felt relatable and real, making the BDSM and Poly lifestyles more relatable for readers new to the concepts. And the ending Sara crafted really brought everything full circle in a beautiful way. A masterful culmination to a masterful series. Brava Mistress!

Dexter but make it sexy

This erotica was really like a sexy version of the show Dexter. Main male character had that same meticulous ability to mask. I wish the main female characters were slightly more developed, but given the fact that it’s told in the man’s POV and he’s got a lot of damage I tried to accept that he maybe wouldn’t have that much development on his radar.

Jason Clarke was a great choice for narration. He portrayed this dark taboo man with OCD beautifully and you even got to hear some hints of his transformation in the performance with the happy ending.

Would have enjoyed reading more than listening

I enjoy this authors work but sometimes the narration performance didn’t feel it fit the writing. This beauty and the beast retelling had some scenes that really felt like they mirrored the original story and others that we more of a reimagining. The Beast character was fitting for that format and the narrator showed the emotion well for the character. However the experience of the strong but emotional female lead did not come across as well in the performance of the female narrator. Her performance felt stiff, only getting more emotive during the spicy scenes. While it was an interesting fairy tale spin on Beauty & the Beast I feel like I might have enjoyed the story even more reading rather than listening because of the female lead disconnect. I recommend listening to a sample of this audio to judge for yourself before choosing to read vs listen.

Sara Cate has a magical way of making me excited by contemporary romance in ways other authors rarely do. Beautifully crafted and makes me all the more excited for the next in the series.

Special note: Jacob Morgan was especially amazing as the voice actor for Adam. His charming and sweet inflections were a great match to the character while also being able to turn on the dominance when needed. Bravo on this performance Jacob.
