Historia
In ancient Greece, a skilled marble sculptor has been blessed by a goddess who has given his masterpiece—the most beautiful woman the town has ever seen—the gift of life. After marrying her, he expects Galatea to please him, to be obedience and humility personified. But she has desires of her own and yearns for independence. In a desperate bid by her obsessive husband to keep her under control, Galatea is locked away under the constant supervision of doctors and nurses. But with a daughter to rescue, she is determined to break free, whatever the cost.

Good For Her
Revisado: 07-05-24
Short and sweet and badass. A feminist treat. Ruth Wilson narrating was perfect. My heart wishes this was a full book but the fact that it’s short makes sense with the story. I loved every second of it.

Thank you for making this a book for all levels.

In witchcraft, I am most like Britney Spears in her song not a girl, not yet a woman. I am not a baby witch but I do have so much more to learn. I appreciate Jason for making this book for my level. It’s inspiring me to do more conjure and invocations. I love that he’s not a gate keeper but a yo, go do your thing and tell us how it goes. It also seems that there’s a trip to the pine barrens in my future 😂

Historia
In the house of Helios, god of the sun and mightiest of the Titans, a daughter is born. But Circe is a strange child—not powerful, like her father, nor viciously alluring like her mother. Turning to the world of mortals for companionship, she discovers that she does possess power—the power of witchcraft, which can transform rivals into monsters and menace the gods themselves.

What a beautiful story. Gods, goddesses, witches, and monsters oh my! A story of love, loss, witchery, jealousy, drama, and humanity (through a deity). It’s lush and gorgeous. You’ll love it.

Eyeeeee ‘‘twas bloody brilliant!
Revisado: 03-09-19
I totally got hooked on the show and decided I needed more. This was such a beautifully written book and the performance was awesome. I’m from the us but after 30 some hours of listening time I now think in a Scottish accent and have caught myself almost using Scottish phrasing to my partner. Yep. I’m a nerd. I really enjoy the in-depth explanations of the daily lives of the characters and the abundance of herbal information. It’s so immersive. I’m excited to move on to the dragonfly in amber next credit 😁
