another great installment on the path of Ascension soild progression but with signs of slowing down through the ranks makes me wonder if will see time skips or not

story progress is nice even better when you see things finally come full circle and you see the main character actually go back to something he said he'd do rather then get constantly distracted, can't wait for the next book

as the title states this is a great start to a new series. fans of redu type story will find a great book, system is different from I'm use to see which set it aside and make me look forward to seeing how it will develop

interesting interesting interesting things happening. our long awaited return to earth. so many questions answer and more questions to ask. finally getting to meet chars that have only been reference along with some new loveable cast( looking at you taka). if your here your a fan. enjoy the next part of the story while I returned to glaring at the next expected release date

great story with unintelligible male voices

title says it all. overall this is a great story in the expanding system apocalypse world. basically ruined in audio formant ( at time of review) by a unknown male voice actor who can't be understood no matter how much you rewind. Andrea is great but you lose a chunk of the interactions. sapose to be a rerecording happening but I honestly hope it's just Andrea or someone else doing the male voices next book.

so overall impression is positive. but this books feels a bit clumped together near the end like the writer had one concept then at he end desided he dident like it and was gonna throw everything else out and move on to the new idea. worth a pick and read though don't know what to think of what will come from book 2

detective novel meets system apocalypse

oh by where to start. audio book sounds like an old fashioned detective which fits great for the older vet turned bounty hunter well. this scratched an itch iv had for more systems apocalypse for awhile. I can already see it's gone be a very different story from the perspective of the characters. if you enjoyed system you should find more of what you liked here. if you disliked system apocalypse due to the main char. hal is a whole different beast. if I was to say one lacking part of this story thus far is the supporting chars and I hope to see more reoccurring chars for now I'll look at this as Craig will tell you at the end this is the origin story. and I can't wait to see what happens next.
