Disappointing at best

This book is a grim reminder about why all authors, indie or not should hire a great editor.
The authors are constantly using adverbs when it would be better to show the action. All the telling shows their lack of skill.
All they could think about was how it could be so much better had someone helped them.
The characters are lacking in any backbone and fall for every trick in the book. They learn nothing and certainly don’t change in any positive or negative way. I was so annoyed.
And why, why is there a constant push for sex? The romance was so overdone and when something did happen, it was because of weakness in the character- ugh!
I don’t get it.

It’s just too bad

This story was pretty great, but the author put in such unnecessary terrible language and sex scenes, it ruined it. I can understand the use of swears in particular circumstances, but this- way over done and unnecessary. This would have been a 5 star if the author had chosen better words to show satisfaction or dissatisfaction. Disappointed

Not for young adults

Just because your main characters are young adults doesn’t mean it’s appropriate for young adults. Way too explicitly sexual.

Love his Gabriel Alon series. This was awful. Stilted women. Way too much sex and terrible at that. No likeable characters. Kept thinking of stopping but hoed for better. Never came. Ugh

Kids that aren't kids

This book was full of tension. That is the only good thing I can say about it. It was disturbing on many levels- the violence and the language. God is used by all kids in exclamation and regular talk even though they are young. This is supposed to be for kids. Gosh or wow or something else would have been appropriate. Too bad.
