It’s all the stuff no one talks about!
Revisado: 03-12-24
I loved the candor about the inner workings of the industry. While structure, the noun, is discussed, this book is more about the actual process of writing for film and TV from someone who has actually done it for a lot of years.
Right up there with William Goldman’s “Adventures in the Screen Trade” with plenty of recent examples.
A must read/listen for any screenwriter and/or filmmaker!
No BS, if you only read one book about screenwriting this year, this should be it!
Just buy it.

Pressfield at his best!
Revisado: 09-15-22
Another gem from Steve Pressfield. I can’t think of another modern creative who is as dedicated to explaining the psychology of creativity, not as a sterile academic, but as someone who knows it from personal experience. Steve lives and breathes this stuff.
As his other non-fiction works, this strikes right at the heart of the things that stop you from pursuing your creative enterprise, be it novel, film, a startup business, anything you want to create.
Read or listen to this book. You will find something new to help you on every journey into its chapters.

Fantastic read, a listen to the audio book contains an intro by Peter Gabriel and a recording of the Steve Hackett interview.
If you’re a fan of Genesis, it’s well worth the read or listen!

Historia
Nineteen-year-old Greg Sestero met Tommy Wiseau at an acting school in San Francisco. Wiseau's scenes were rivetingly wrong, yet Sestero, hypnotized by such uninhibited acting, thought, "I have to do a scene with this guy." That impulse changed both of their lives. The Disaster Artist is Greg Sestero's laugh-out-loud funny account of how Tommy Wiseau defied every law of artistry, business, and friendship to make "the Citizen Kane of bad movies" ( Entertainment Weekly), which is now an international phenomenon.

Then you will love this audio book. It's the behind the scenes story of the making of what has become truly a wonderful cult classic. God Bless Greg for telling the story. God bless Tommy for taking the risk and creating a film I have come to love!
