The world’s great museums are full of art and artifacts that were plundered during an era when plunder was the norm. Now there’s a push to return these works to their rightful owners. Sounds simple, right? It's not. (Part 2 of “Stealing Art Is Easy. Giving It Back Is Hard.”)

Historia
Rachel Held Evans is widely recognized for her theologically astute, profoundly honest, and beautifully personal books, which have guided, instructed, edified, and shaped Christians as they seek to live out a just and loving faith. At the time of her tragic death in 2019, Rachel was working on a new book about wholeheartedness. With the help of her close friend and author Jeff Chu, that work-in-progress has been woven together with some of her other unpublished writings into a rich collection of essays.

A bittersweet finale
Revisado: 11-27-22
The friends of RHE who have truly given her words life. As a longtime RHE it was bittersweet to read her familiar wit and hear her friends narrate her proudly yet simple truth. She has truly inspired a generation to love all God’s children. And to make sure that their “loving” looks like Jesus.

Historia
How did a libertine who lacks even the most basic knowledge of the Christian faith win 81 percent of the white evangelical vote in 2016? And why have white evangelicals become a presidential reprobate's staunchest supporters? Jesus and John Wayne is a sweeping account of the last 75 years of white evangelicalism, showing how American evangelicals have worked for decades to replace the Jesus of the Gospels with an idol of rugged masculinity and Christian nationalism.

Great historical look at American Evangelicalism & how it’s gotten to its current state.
Narrator was good but even with my iPhone volume all the way up I couldn’t listen in the car or anywhere else there was background noise.

Historia
Flickering pixels are the tiny dots of light that make up the screens of life - from TVs to cell phones. They are nearly invisible, but they change us. In this provocative audiobook, author Shane Hipps takes listeners beneath the surface of things to see how the technologies we use end up using us. Not all is dire, however, as Hipps shows us that hidden things have far less power to shape us when they aren't hidden anymore. We are only puppets of our technology if we remain asleep. Flickering Pixels will wake us up - and nothing will look the same again.

Amazing book! The medium is the message. It's he first time I've heard of the concept and it makes total sense. Shane does a great job bringing theory and high level thinking on technology and how it effects us and gives practical things we can do about it.
