Historia
Titus Briggs is an Earth Defense soldier, a grunt, a decorated war hero—it's all he's ever known. So when a career-ending injury leaves him lying in a hospital bed, missing both legs, he struggles to accept his new reality. He can no longer walk, which means he can no longer fight. That is until a mysterious colonel arrives and offers Titus the opportunity to step into a new kind of war, a new kind of fight. To become a new kind of soldier. Mobile Combat Suits—MOCOMS—represent the next stage in human warfare. They enable soldiers to fight like never before.

ok…WOW! Just…WOW!!!
Revisado: 03-12-25
Already had an affinity for the authors so I knew I’d probably like this out of the gate. But I wasn’t prepared for this story. It has a lot of intensity from highs to lows, from laughs to “something’s in my eye”. Military jargon is right-on and so are the characters. This is absolutely one of the BEST stories by anyone I’ve come across, in some ways even better than Galaxy’s Edge, (maybe not all the books though). Immediately went looking for the next book, hurry up and wait. Oh yeah, and R.C. Bray gives it life, enough said.

REALLY FREAKIN’ GOOD!
Revisado: 03-31-24
Got this book as a hardback when it first came out. Hadn’t read it since. Saw a couple of the episodes when they did it on cable? But THIS book? With the full cast? Really freaking amazing!! Audio was perfection. I sure thought that Wednesday was being done by Ian McShane (it’s not him). The whole thing even the appendix is great. If you’ve read this or heard this before, forget that and get this version. Well Done, WELL DONE INDEED!

Great Series
Revisado: 12-22-23
Really well done. Story is very good, nice perspectives from multiple view points, especially like Shrecht’s, “It’s just who he is”. Plus it has an actual ending, wraps up nicely. Definitely worth listening to.

Historia
They were the Savages. Raiders from our distant past. Elites who left Earth to create tailor-made utopias aboard the massive lighthuggers that crawled through the darkness between the stars. But the people they left behind on a dying planet didn't perish in the dystopian nightmare the Savages had themselves created: they thrived, discovering faster-than-light technology and using it to colonize the galaxy ahead of the Savages, forming fantastic new civilizations that surpassed the wildest dreams of Old Earth.

Lang is good
Revisado: 02-19-23
Yeah we get it, not R C Bray. But give Stephen Lang his due, besides being a bad-ass marine in Avatar he helps to separate the line of GE stories. I think he does very well. You still get lost in the story. Great stuff!

Narrator makes a difference
Revisado: 10-30-22
And in this case is was not good. Really had a hard time sticking with the story due to the narrator. He just off. Doesn’t seem to fit right. I’ve listened to all of the series up to now, wondering if I’ll continue now.

Historia
On his last combat deployment, Lt. Cmdr. James Reece's entire team was killed in an ambush that also claimed the lives of the aircrew sent in to rescue them. But when those dearest to him are murdered on the day of his homecoming, Reece discovers that this was not an act of war by a foreign enemy but a conspiracy that runs to the highest levels of government. Now, with no family and free from the military's command structure, Reece applies the lessons that he's learned in over a decade of constant warfare toward revenge.

It’s a good story. Very entertaining, not as unbelievable as of others would have you think. Porter is outstanding as usual. You’ll enjoy it.

Historia
From Joshua Dalzelle comes the follow-up to the number-one best seller Warship. Captain Jackson Wolfe survived the initial incursion of a vicious alien species into human space...barely. He had assumed the juggernaut that had devastated three Terran systems was the herald for a full invasion, but for the last few years it has been eerily quiet along the Frontier. Jackson now struggles to convince the Confederate leadership the threat is still imminent and needs to be taken seriously.

Maintaining the Awesomeness
Revisado: 08-29-21
Every bit as good as the first book with even more surprises. Just when you think your on track with what’s happening you get a curve ball. Nice to see continuing character development and also to see some new ones added. Boyett is still great. Looking forward to the third book. Get this set you won’t be disappointed.

Historia
In the 25th century, humans have conquered space. The advent of faster-than-light travel has opened up hundreds of habitable planets for colonization, and humans have exploited the virtually limitless space and resources for hundreds of years with impunity. So complacent have they become with the overabundance that armed conflict is a thing of the past, and their machines of war are obsolete and decrepit. What would happen if they were suddenly threatened by a terrifying new enemy?

Very surprising
Revisado: 08-29-21
Always like me a good military story and this didn’t disappoint. The story is really good, and at times very surprising. There were moments when I found myself cheering aloud because of what was happening in the story. This is my first encounter with Mr. Dalzelle and I look forward to enjoying his other books. Now, about Mark Boyett, this is the first time I’ve heard him narrate and I must say he was awesome. I’d put him in the same group with R.C. Bray and Armand Shultz. One of the few V.O. actors who can do a plausible female. I highly recommend the book.

Like watching an episode
Revisado: 07-13-21
This is no different than watching an episode. All the characters are exactly like the TV show. I could see them all saying their lines, the wording was right on. The narrator did a great job bringing Mal and all the rest of the crew to life.
