Historia
Sherman Holmes has officially settled into his new city, and the World's Greatest Detective Agency has opened its doors. While his put-upon partner, Watson, would be happy to keep the jobs as simple as missing pets, when a worried worker with an outlandish tale of ghosts walks in, there's no stopping Sherman from taking the case. Now, the new duo must investigate a local "haunted" tourist site where the scares are going off-script and otherworldly interference is suspected.

Can hardly wait for book 3
Revisado: 04-09-23
I really love these 5 minute Sherlock stories! The Sherman character is quirky, campy and hilarious. Scott Aielo is the PERFECT reader for these stories. I don’t remember how I stumbled upon the first one. But I’m so glad I did. I just wish this series had been started a long time ago so I had more of them to listen to now. But I definitely look forward to book 3.

Good story but hated the language
Revisado: 06-30-22
I wish they’d provide a heads up about whether or not there is profanity in the story as, personally, I don’t use it or want to hear it. If I had known, I wouldn’t have chosen this book. I won’t listen to any sequels, which means I’m going to miss learning some details about one of the characters that I would be interested in knowing. Such is life.
If you don’t mind profanity, I would think you would enjoy the story.

Historia
Frances Wynn, the American-born Countess of Harleigh, enjoys more freedom as a widow than she did as a wife. After an obligatory year spent mourning her philandering husband, Reggie, she puts aside her drab black gowns, leaving the countryside and her money-grubbing in-laws behind. With her young daughter in tow, Frances rents a home in Belgravia and prepares to welcome her sister, Lily, arriving from New York - for her first London season.

Good story, poor reader
Revisado: 05-17-21
If I were to judge from merely listening to this reader, I would believe the author employed very, very few periods in the entire book. It was so maddening that I almost gave up listening. I found myself saying “period!” quite frequently. There eventually came sections where she seemed to be more involved in the story and it flowed more naturally. And I did enjoy the story. I don’t understand why someone didn’t stop the reader and clue her in to this terrible and annoying habit.

It's hard to wait for her next book. Although I was sure early on who the killer was, I just really love her books: the characters, the pacing and good (aka happy) endings.

Hated this story --- couldn't finish it
Revisado: 09-08-17
I just found the two main characters very unappealing, so much so that I quit listening. I wish I could get my money back. I also hated the language. If I had known that the language was like that, I would never had purchased it. I did listen to the sample as a precaution. That did no good.

Mary Higgins Clark has been my favorite author from the start. I also love the Willie and Elvira characters. Although this story wasn't as much of a surprise as some have been, it was still very enjoyable.
