Historia
With winter looming, a small northern Anishinaabe community goes dark. Cut off, people become passive and confused. Panic builds as the food supply dwindles. While the band council and a pocket of community members struggle to maintain order, an unexpected visitor arrives, escaping the crumbling society to the south. Soon after, others follow. Frustrated by the building chaos, a group of young friends and their families turn to the land and Anishinaabe tradition in hopes of helping their community thrive again.

Narration rusty at beginning
Revisado: 01-05-20
This is a slow-burning allegorical tale. Narrator I s rusty at beginning, but is excellent thereafter.

Historia
The Winter’s Tale is one of Shakespeare’s “late plays.” It tells the story of a king whose jealousy results in the banishment of his baby daughter and the death of his beautiful wife. His daughter is found and brought up by a shepherd on the Bohemian coast, but through a series of extraordinary events, father and daughter, and eventually mother too, are reunited.

Did not capture Shakespeare
Revisado: 08-18-18
This story, especially the part in New Bohemia, was forced and did not capture the emotions that permeate Shakespeare's play. This is only one in the Hogarth series that I found disappointing.
The 2 male narrators are outstanding. The female narrator is horrendous and grating. Her different voices are abysmal.

Historia
Beauty and the Beast is one of the world's most famous fairy tales. This is the very first published version of the fairy tale, by Gabrielle-Suzanne Barbot de Villeneuve, published in 1740. Variations of the tale are known across Europe. It has been enormously popular for centuries. In 1991 the story was made into a Disney animated musical fantasy.

Horrible Narration
Revisado: 05-06-17
What would have made Beauty and the Beast better?
The story is a great one, but the narration was horrendous. A different narrator would have made this better. My daughter could not even finish this audiobook, as the narrator's voice was too grating and irritating.
