Historia
With ribald humor, wit, and incredible insight, Alan seamlessly moves back and forth in time, integrating stories from his childhood in Scotland and his experiences today as the celebrated actor of film, television, and stage. At times suspenseful, at times deeply moving, but always incredibly brave and honest, Not My Father's Son is a powerful story of embracing the best aspects of the past and triumphantly pushing the darkness aside.

Heartfelt and moving memoir
Revisado: 07-24-16
This was a well-written and even better spoken memoir of the author's experience with an abusive father. The story was very well-crafted, switching between present day and Cumming's childhood. He is a very talented story-teller and speaker.

Historia
Cosmopolitan.com editor Amy Odell takes listeners behind the stage of New York's hottest fashion shows to meet the world's most influential models, designers, celebrities, editors, and photographers. But first, she has to push her way through the crowds outside, where we see the lengths people go to be noticed by the lurking paparazzi, and weave her way through the packed venue, from the very back row to the front.

Disappointing
Revisado: 02-07-16
The performance seemed forced and contrived. The author is very preachy. A much more interesting and better written fashion memoir is Kate Betts's My Paris Dream.

Historia
When Imogen returns to work at Glossy after six months away, she can barely recognize her own magazine. Eve, fresh out of Harvard Business School, has fired "the gray hairs", put the managing editor in a supply closet, stopped using the landlines, and hired a bevy of manicured and questionably attired underlings who text and tweet their way through meetings.

Great, fun, easy listen.
Revisado: 11-09-15
For anyone interested in fashion, this is a fun, funny, and engaging story. The descriptions of interiors and clothing are very well-written and add a bonus to the storyline. Especially suited for the forty and over crowd :)
