This book is very insightful and helps understand the mechanisms than make out our different societies and psychics - it teaches good lessons and can be a great tool in understanding modern day societies, regimes and the human experience.

As an Israeli - This story immensely touched me

To learn what this person did to save lives, the confusion and the price he had to pay while living in the heart of the unsolvable conflict, was eye opening and touched my heart deeply.

Stephen Fry IMO, does a much better narration than Jim Dale (although I love him very much due to other productions)

I give a very warm recommendation for this once in a lifetime book.

Misleading newage nonsense (mostly)

The beginning sounds interesting and promising, but the book is actually trying to sell an idea to people who want to live very long lives, invest them in work, and focusing the evidence around Japan's culture (omitting to mention that due to workoholisem it has one of the highest suicide rates in the world).

The book puts a lot of focus on long loves (rather than happy lives), and even tries to sell immortality (if you just live long enough)

I think the ideas of flow and ikigai presented in the book are very interesting, but should probably be separated from this book and investigated separately, and taken into context (which, IMO, is not done here)

Insight into the neurology of the soul

this book gives an overview of cases surrounding neurological anomalies and their innovations in individuals.

It's told mesmerisingly and clearly to an unspecialised ear and speculates on how a person's soul can be affected.

An inspiration and a model

This is probably one of the most inspiring books I've read in my life.

The vision and the reasons behind Elon musk's projects, make you rethink what a start-up should be, and the kind of challanges intelligent people should devote their lives to.

This book also brings a small glimpse at Elon's personal life and the massive sacrifice he makes in order to achieve the unthinkable.

He is a heard man in many regards, but he is taking many roads none has taken before him.

IMO, anyone picking up this book, would be well to receive their money's worth and their vision re-callibrated.

Great course, in many places I didn't know how based were the facts. The lecturer was very annoying at the first two lectures. Worth trudging through it.
