The narrator has a dull, somewhat computer like voice, with a southern accent. Very boring to listen to and the accent is grating. The description is pretty much the story. If you have a vivid imagination you could come up with a better fantasy in your head than what you hear in this.

In the first volume, they had a male and female narrator. In this volume, there is only one male narrator and his voice is raspy, harsh, and grating. I made it 20 minutes, that was enough.
The storyline is preposterous. What kind of father would go along with a business plan that would make his daughter marry his business partner’s son and get pregnant within 90 days of marriage in order to pass the business on to their children? What kind of modern woman would go along with it? It’s not set in Medieval Europe trying to negotiate peace between England and France, this is set in modern day Manhattan. It’s just bullshit.
I listen to romances to drown out co-workers and keep my mind occupied with a not too demanding storyline while at work. I’m not asking for great fiction. But the stupid story line and the bad voice is not working here.

The story was fairly run-of the mill romance tropes. The hero Xavier Alvarado, was Spanish or Mexican, a detail not specified or I’ve forgotten, but the narrator spoke it with a heavy accent that sounded more Russian than Spanish. Never failed to crack me up. It’s probably worth half of the $2.49 that I paid for it

It started out pleasantly. Then heroine got upset because she didn’t want to have P in V sex until she was in love, despite having no reservations about doing most other sexual acts. VIRGINITY IS A SOCIAL CONSTRUCT AND NOT A REAL THING!!! (I wish romance novels would stop treating virginity as a taboo. If you have no problem deep throating a dick, a dick in your vagina is not that different.) She did it willingly with the hero, he did it to prove a point to her bitchy friends, which upset her.
The hero keeps calling the heroine “my little grasshopper,” the narrator refers to her as “his little grasshopper.” After 6 hours, it becomes patronizing and set my teeth on edge.
I tried to cut to the end, then the hero was upset with the heroine and somehow she had him handcuffed to a chair. It was
The editor should have cut this down, too. Way too long.
