Great and short

Another great story that really sheds light on why Kalina is the way she is. The romance was sweet and helped explain a lot of other aspects of the main story. Enough action to keep things exciting! I really enjoyed this. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Marriage or war. There are no other options. Kalina has her throne, finally, and her people have their long-sought-after peace. But that peace is short-lived, when an old enemy resurfaces, threatening everything she has fought so hard to attain. Trapped in a foreign court, surrounded by enemies, Kalina must decide the fate of her people as well as her own future before it’s too late. Love is at stake, lives will be lost. This is the stunning conclusion to the Valdir Chronicles, full to the brim with adventure, intrigue, and, of course, dragons.

Adventure and romance
Revisado: 01-09-22
This was a really special series and I enjoyed this third book a lot. The action and adventure coupled by the meaningful friendships and romance all packed together to make for a really compelling listen. The writing is very well done and paced nicely. All together it was very enjoyable. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Nearly three thousand years ago, the Prophet penned the Song of Prophecy, foretelling a time when darkness would engulf the world and threaten all life. A good listen
Revisado: 09-22-21
This was a great start to what seems like it will be an exciting series. The battle scenes were my favorite part, as they were very descriptive and the author did a wonderful job at painting the picture. I also enjoyed the inner conflict that Aeden showed and his struggle to overcome it. Worth a listen.

Phenomenal
Revisado: 03-12-21
Honestly, probably the best book I’ve listened to! The story was so well thought out, and the authors writing is just seamless. I fell in love with the characters, the atmosphere and everything else. I loved the Academy aspect of the book, which was actually really unique and creative despite being the Academy atmosphere that so many books try to do. This one was so unique and exciting. I’m devastated that the next book isn’t out on audio yet. I like that this book felt adult without being overly sexual. I like that there was some cussing and sexual scenes that fit with their age, yet not over done.

I hate when a man narrates a woman’s story
Revisado: 03-12-21
I think I really would’ve liked this book, but the narration ruined it for me. I cannot stand listening to a man try to portray a woman, especially when the portrayal is a squeaky annoying voice. I honestly could not finish I was so irritated by it. If a woman had narrated the story I think I would’ve liked it.

Cheesy but entertaining
Revisado: 07-16-19
The first time I started this book I ended up turning it off after one chapter. It was way too cheesy. A couple of months later I tried again with a new mindset and I actually really enjoyed it a lot. Reminded me of the selection series. It’s a little cheesy, but really enjoyable and I actually am going to purchase book 2.

Narrator is horrible!!!!!!
Revisado: 07-13-19
Absolutely couldn’t stand the narrator. He made the main characters sound like whiny brats. I honestly couldn’t get into it because of that. His female voice is obnoxious beyond all reason. The story might have been ok if the characters were read by someone who didn’t make them sound so helpless and whiny, but I couldn’t get over it. Ick! Just thinking about it is like nails on the chalkboard. He did do a good old man voice though, props for that.

So disappointed
Revisado: 07-13-19
This story was lacking in several areas. Even at the end of the book, I had zero connection to any of the characters and didn’t really care what happened, especially to the female character, and I just wanted the book to be over. The narrator bugged me as I felt I was listening to an old woman tell a story in monotone. Overall it was just a major disappointment and I would NOT recommend to anyone.
