Historia
Against all odds, Katniss has won the Hunger Games. She and fellow District 12 tribute Peeta Mellark are miraculously still alive. Katniss should be relieved, happy even. After all, she has returned to her family and her longtime friend, Gale. Yet nothing is the way Katniss wishes it to be. Gale holds her at an icy distance. Peeta has turned his back on her completely. And there are whispers of a rebellion against the Capitol - a rebellion that Katniss and Peeta may have helped create. Much to her shock, Katniss has fueled an unrest she’s afraid she cannot stop.

The book and narrator are truly incredible. I was glued to it the entire time. The narrator let's you live in the same world as Katiness and brings the author's words and characters to life.

Historia
When Edward Cullen and Bella Swan met in Twilight, an iconic love story was born. But until now, fans have heard only Bella's side of the story. At last, listeners can experience Edward's version in the long-awaited companion novel, Midnight Sun. This unforgettable tale as told through Edward's eyes takes on a new and decidedly dark twist. Meeting Bella is both the most unnerving and intriguing event he has experienced in all his years as a vampire.

Historia
Guy Montag is a fireman. In his world, where television rules and literature is on the brink of extinction, firemen start fires rather than put them out. His job is to destroy the most illegal of commodities, the printed book, along with the houses in which they are hidden. Montag never questions the destruction and ruin his actions produce, returning each day to his bland life and wife, Mildred, who spends all day with her television "family."

Incredible book!
Revisado: 07-19-20
So this book finally came up on my reading list for this summer, and I have to say that I was not disappointed ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐! After the first 30 pages or so, it was just a page turner! (THE ENDING WAS BRILLIANT." ) At times, it reminded me of Orwell's 1984, but with its own unique and powerful twist. Bradbury's writing style and ideas only reinforces my love for dystopian literature and books that much more. It is a fantastic read. I can't wait to teach it to my students this fall!

Historia
In this award-winning Audible Studios production, Trevor Noah tells his wild coming-of-age tale during the twilight of apartheid in South Africa. It’s a story that begins with his mother throwing him from a moving van to save him from a potentially fatal dispute with gangsters, then follows the budding comedian’s path to self-discovery through episodes both poignant and comical.

Amazing book & performance
Revisado: 11-04-19
Highly recommend this book. It's so cleverly constructed. I'm convinced this is one of my favorite Victorian books so far. The reader really paid tribute to all the characters in various changes in her voice. Excellent!

A page turner with an excellent performance
Revisado: 09-22-19
This is the first Dickens book that I have enjoyed. It is a “page turner” after you get passed the first chapter or two. The performance was spectacular! Anton Lesser gave a dynamic performance varying his voices with each character and making all the right pauses to give the story all that more justice. Highly recommend!
