Historia
Why do only a few people get to say "I love my job?" It seems unfair that finding fulfillment at work is like winning a lottery; that only a few lucky ones get to feel valued by their organizations, to feel like they belong. Imagine a world where almost everyone wakes up inspired to go to work, feels trusted and valued during the day, then returns home feeling fulfilled. This is not a crazy, idealized notion. Today, in many successful organizations, great leaders are creating environments in which people naturally work together to do remarkable things.

Common Knowledge

Other than some fun facts about neurotransmitters, this book tells you everything you probably already know: be nice to people, look out for one another, be a good example. Seems like every leadership book ever written.

Glad JM did the narration himself, but many of his tales were too mundane to mention in a book

Well read, well written. The book goes into great detail about Ouimet, Vardon, and Ray but stays interesting throughout.

Historia
For more than a decade, golf was dominated by one galvanizing figure: Eldrick "Tiger" Woods. But as his star has fallen, a new, ambitious generation has stepped up to claim the crown. Once the domain of veterans, golf saw a youth revolution in 2014. In Slaying the Tiger, Shane Ryan introduces us to the volatile, colorful crop of heirs apparent who are storming the barricades of this traditionally old-fashioned sport.

Nothing new here

If you watch the Golf Channel on occasion and read GolfWeek from time to time, you probably won't learn much new information or insight. The author seems poorly connected to tbe golf community. The narrator has no golf background either, given his mispronunciations.

Historia
James Conaway's remarkable bestseller delves into the heart of California's lush and verdant Napa Valley, also known as America's Eden. Long the source of succulent grapes and singular wines, this region is also the setting for the remarkable true saga of the personalities behind the winemaking empires. This is the story of Gallos and Mondavis, of fortunes made and lost, of dynasties and destinies.

Revisado: 08-30-16
Would you try another book from James Conaway and/or John Morgan?
John Morgan needs to do better with pronunciation
Would you recommend Napa to your friends? Why or why not?
No. It's a long dull look into the nuances of county zoning, local politics, and policy; I had been hoping for more discussion of the wines, winemakers, and wineries.
Would you be willing to try another one of John Morgan’s performances?
Maybe for a simpler topic.
Did Napa inspire you to do anything?
No

Historia
It was the most expensive bottle of wine ever sold. In 1985, at a heated auction by Christie’s of London, a 1787 bottle of Château Lafite Bordeaux—one of a cache of bottles unearthed in a bricked-up Paris cellar and supposedly owned by Thomas Jefferson—went for $156,000 to a member of the Forbes family. The discoverer of the bottle was pop-band manager turned wine collector Hardy Rodenstock, who had a knack for finding extremely old and exquisite wines. But rumors about the bottle soon arose.

Well written, well researched, and well read. Only complaint is that I wish they didn't have the abridged version. For what it's worth, though, the abridger did a good job and the book flows smoothly.

Unlistenable
Revisado: 08-03-16
The narrator's overdone French accent for every French word was too distracting to continue. Book returned. While I didn't make it to the end, the author used a tone that indicated a bias, rather than a more objective journalistic style.
