I hope to listen to more audio adaptations, I hope to listen to the whole story on audio. and I definitely hope that such adaptations remain faithful to the original material as this one is.
clap clap clap well done everyone!

do you like stories about conspiracies? menacing secret government agencies? a good dose of supernatural phenomena?
I love a thriller full of mysteries and this one was quite enjoyable!
but honestly, don't buy just because of the virus mentioned in the book... if this is your motivation you may enjoy more 'the stand' or some other apocalyptic pandemic book, there are tons of lists of those on the internet. this one has another focus entirely.

Interesting, but...
Revisado: 02-18-20
There's a lot of information here, the bits about sleeping were mostly new to me, and the whole experiment about being without coffee was interesting.
Still, there were many topics which would have made the whole more interesting if presented in a bit more detail and I don't think it would have taken much more time to perform.
For example, "erva mate" (Ilex paraguariensis) is a plant that contains significant amounts of caffeine, a beverage named 'chimarrão' is made from it and it's consumed by millions of people in Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay and south of Brazil. The whole bit in the end about coffee being handpicked by small farmers too, it's not like this everywhere, much on the contrary. Colombian hillsides are unfit for the use of a machine, besides the humidity in the air makes it crucial for the fruits to be picked as soon as they mature. Otherwise, they end up rotten. But in Brazil there are huge plantations of coffee that are picked by machinery, it's by no means a traditional and artisanal agricultural product. Coffea Canephora is bitter in comparison to arabica, but many producers are engaged in developing a quality product with success.
Moreover, it would have been nice to listen to a bit about the differences in quality that coffee may present, no one will find rich fruit aromas or a note of almond taste in cheap commodity coffee - because of it isn't there. It takes a lot of work to grow, select and prepare a decent cup of coffee.

Fiver could sense danger. Something terrible was going to happen to the warren; he felt sure of it. They had to leave immediately. So begins a long and perilous journey of survival for a small band of rabbits. As the rabbits skirt danger at every turn, we become acquainted with the band, its humorous characters, and its compelling culture, complete with its own folk history and mythos. Fiver’s vision finally leads them to Watership Down, an upland meadow. But here they face their most difficult challenges of all.

Just wow
Revisado: 01-05-20
This book is not what I expected. I thought it would be a cute tale for kids, but it's nothing like this at all.
There was a lot of research into the writing of this book; there's a documental aspect of the lives of rabbits that is quite interesting and informative. The narrative is equally impressive; it's an adventure with a lot of action and military stuff.
It's worth reading, and I'm sure I will reread it many times. Awesome.
Regarding the narration, absolutely fabulous as well, although I found the bird's voice extremely annoying, I get that he had to talk distinctively.

Historia
On the surface, the Victorian age is one of propriety, industry, prudishness and piety. But scratch the surface and you’ll find scandal, sadism, sex, madness, malice and murder. Presented by Stephen Fry, this series delves deep into a period of time we think we know, to discover an altogether darker reality. The stories we’re told offer a different perspective on an era which underwent massive social change. As education, trade, technology and culture blossomed, why was there an undercurrent of the ‘forbidden’ festering beneath Victorian society?
