Historia
The COVID-19 outbreak has turned bedrooms into offices, pitted young against old, and widened the gaps between rich and poor, red and blue, the mask wearers and the mask haters. Some businesses - like home exercise company Peloton, video conference software maker Zoom, and Amazon - woke up to find themselves crushed under an avalanche of consumer demand. Others - like the restaurant, travel, hospitality, and live entertainment industries - scrambled to escape obliteration.

Have to listen a second time and take notes.
Revisado: 12-26-20
Hard to listen to . Some business talk was over my head. I will listen again because I think there is value in what is said.

I didn't like what I read of it.
Revisado: 06-25-20
I got through 8 chapters of gross, dark prose and couldn't find any hint of a plot. I suppose there is a plot but I didn't want to wade through many gross chapters to find it.

Historia
Nicki Pearl is the perfect daughter - every parent’s dream. And that of strangers, too. Wherever she goes, she’s being watched. Each stalker is different from the last, except for one thing - their alarming obsession with Nicki. Nicki’s father is turning to someone who can protect her: retired private detective and ex-Navy SEAL Jon Lancaster. Unlicensed, and unrestricted, he plays dirty. But this case is unusual. Why so many men? Why this one girl? Does Nicki have something to hide? Or do her parents? Trawling the darkest depths of southern Florida, Lancaster faces a growing tide of secrets and deception.

Good writing and performance
Revisado: 06-23-20
Unusually complex murder story (I couldn't guess
the ending). The author never let me get lost and have to go back to find out where I lost track of the story. I listened to this book at night as I went to sleep for about 3 weeks. I will miss it. I didn't like the title, it might be symbolically clever but not inviting. I hope Daniels is recovering from her years -long ordeal and that she is happier now.

Historia
Despite Harper McDaniel’s best efforts, the man responsible for the murder of her husband and son was exonerated thanks to some slick legal wrangling. This blatant injustice has only made Harper more determined than ever to bring down the culprit. Her ammunition? Incriminating information about his olive oil operations in Italy. But the clues that she follows are leading her into the depths of a corrupt plot that is more poisonous and far-reaching than she realizes. And more dangerous, too, because her enemy is prepared for her pursuit.

The story ha# several plots with strong women as the major players. I liked it a lot.
