Love the books! She has some terrific series that are all tied together. There's this one, the cousins in Jackrabbit Junction, one in the 1800s with another slayer who's also an undertaker, and one with Violet's brother in Mexico; every book is Fantastic!
BUT, if her daughter's cat was really vegan...it would eventually die (and not from old age). Most human vegans can get enough protein from plants --even dogs can (although I don't think they would be too happy about it). A cat could maybe get enough plain, generic protein, but there is an amino acid named Taurine that can ONLY come from an animal source and Cats Need It -- no substitutes will suffice for any type of feline. My grandson thought they could get it in a powdered form, and they can -- BUT THE POWDER WOULD BE MADE FROM ANIMALS. They are True Carnivores (some say the feline family are the only true terrestrial carnivores). Someone could think Violet's vegan cat would be totally cool and just do it. Please Ms Charles, toss in a joke about taking the cat to the vet and "Oh Guess What?" or something like that.
Yes, it is an individual's responsibility to get reliable information on which to base their pet care, but that doesn't mean a lot to a dead cat.
Please.

Phenomenal Edutainment

Incredibly well-spoken. Humorous without being corny. Cutting edge of historical research. Truly one of the best narrative courses I have yet to hear.
I do have one question (which may or may not be addressed later in the podcast): How did it all go so wrong? I dig how & why the Hebrews loved Cyrus. I can see why they made him the one & only non-Jewish messiah. What I don't get is how did the relationship between the two peoples go from then --- to now?

Excellent With One Exception

This is a REALLY good series aurally; however, the PDF is quite disappointing and woefully inadequate.
The lecturers (who are excellent and still manage to be comprehensible) often refer to cladograms and other images which are not in the PDF. Take the PDF out of the equation: an overall five star review. Separately rate the PDF: pretty much two stars; three stars at the absolute maximum. I must note, however, when one considers this handicap, an overall four star rating with information that they still manage to convey with relative clarity is a remarkable achievement.

I like this series. Each book can stand alone with a good story and a satisfying ending. At the same time, however, the underlying story of the series as a whole is shaping up to be even more compelling.

Great book, great performance except Cajun names LeBlanc is LuhBlawn with the N almost silent.
