Historia
Mage Errant: Publisher's Pack contains books one and two of the Mage Errant series: Into the Labyrinth and Jewel of the Endless Erg. Hugh of Emblin is, so far as he's concerned, the worst student that the Academy at Skyhold has ever seen. He can barely cast any spells at all, and those he does cast tend to fail explosively.

grating narration - juvenile storytelling
I don't take issue with the ya focus of the content - it's the way the story is written.

Historia
Little Sister has vanished. The prototype device - real name IPD400 - has powers of surveillance that governments and terrorist organizations would kill for. They might yet. James Palatine, a trained killer with a surplus of conscience, invented the device and is the only person who can operate it. He's determined to retrieve it, and so is Natalya Kocharian - the arms dealer who "inadvertently" sold the prototype to a rogue dealer.

Disconcerting female voice portrayal
Revisado: 03-29-16
The story is good, but it is extremely disconcerting that the female lead's voice is the deepest male-like voice of all of the characters.

Historia
In David Ignatius' gripping new novel, spies don' t bother to steal information...they change it, permanently and invisibly. Graham Weber has been director of the CIA for less than a week when a Swiss kid in a dirty T-shirt walks into the American consulate in Hamburg and says the agency has been hacked, and he has a list of agents' names to prove it. This is the moment a CIA director most dreads. Weber isn' t sure where to turn until he meets a charismatic (and unstable) young man named James Morris who runs the Internet Operations Center.

Good story, bad narration
Revisado: 04-08-15
Guidall's narration in his halting, staccato single character voice puts me to sleep every time. He doesn't seem to understand the concept of differentiation between character voices. this means that conversations are very difficult to follow. Sometimes one character will speak with a foreign accent and by the end of the conversation both characters speak in a muddled mixture of similar accent. I will be avoiding all books narrated by him in the future.

But they have no hard evidence, and no one at Langley or the White House will listen. Now the President has set a deadline for Iran to give up its nuclear program, and the mullahs in Tehran - furious and frightened - have responded with a deadly terrorist attack. Wells, Shafer, and Duto know they have only twelve days to find the proof they need.

Put me to sleep
Revisado: 03-04-15
George Guidall voices the characters nearly identically, so during back and forth conversations it is nearly impossible to distinguish which character(s) is talking. I had to skip back to the beginning of conversations several times because I could not tell who was taking which position in the conversations.
Also he narrates in a soothing (not a good way) manner that put me to sleep. I regularly listen while driving and this became a danger.
I don't believe that in the future I will be purchasing narration by George unless he is a co-narrator.
The story had so many logical holes in it that suspending disbelief became painful. It became almost a chore to listen.
