A very well-informed and balanced take

Not only is this show funny to listen to, but it is also educational! I love the range of topics, from informing us how our government systems work (or are supposed to work) to engaging in healthy, well researched, structured debates.
One of the things I love most about this podcast is that it offers perspectives from both Liberals and Conservatives. No voices are silenced, no one is name calling each other. It's a truly respectful space where ideas are shared openly. It's been great to be able to recommend this podcast to the conservative people I know in hopes they will learn something.

I've really enjoyed this podcast! The hosts are knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the subject, and they get great guests on the pod to talk about the show. The hosts do a great job at staying on-topic, but they have so much fun nerding out. A real delight to listen to!

He was Gollum—as dark as darkness, except for two big round pale eyes in his thin face. Andy Serkis is amazing!

I've listened to a few versions of The Hobbit, but this is by far the best. Andy Serkis just has a fabulous narrating voice that draws you in from the first word. And he does the Gollum voice.

The story itself isnt too bad, but the writing is kinda rough. The best way to describe it is a novelization of a Hallmark Channel original movie. Ridiculous and convenient plot lines, but fun. The narrator sounds as if she's reading you the book from a 1-900 number, which is a bit irritating at times.
