Historia
Between the ages of 12 and 24, the brain changes in important and often maddening ways. It’s no wonder that many parents approach their child’s adolescence with fear and trepidation. According to renowned neuropsychiatrist Daniel Siegel, however, if parents and teens can work together to form a deeper understanding of the brain science behind all the tumult, they will be able to turn conflict into connection and form a deeper understanding of one another. In Brainstorm, Siegel illuminates how brain development affects teenagers’ behaviour and relationships.

Great mindsight approach to teenage raising,but...
Revisado: 09-02-22
I am already familiar with Dr. Siegel's methodologies and tools, and I've enjoyed and benefited from them as I learnt from his previous books. It is for this reason that though I appreciate how in this book he applies them to specific situations in teenage upbringing, I found a bit tedious having to read about the tools and methods in detail for yet another volume. There certainly are very teenage-specific and helpful cases and recommendations, but these make up less than half the content of the book.
For newcomers to Dr. Siegel's book, all the information on Mindsight theory and techniques should be of great value, but for readers already familiar with them, there's a lot to skip, or at best to just revisit, and little new, teenage-specific, although I found this bits very insightful and valuable.

Great way to learn about CTE, caused by head impact and how it is directly connected to head impacts, even those related to soccer "heading". The narrations by those affected and their families make it compelling.

Must read if interested in Agile/Scrum
Revisado: 08-16-19
A must read for anyone interested in working with Agile/Scrum methodologies. Highly recommended to anyone wanting to improve their jobs, their lives, and even their environments, as this book demonstrates that Scrum is not only applicable to business, but it can be applied for any aspect of life. Narration is great, especially because it's read by the author's son who happens to be a journalist and quite experienced in implementing Scrum himself.

Many valuable bits of advice in a concise text
Revisado: 08-16-19
Initially I didn't expect much from this book, but I was positively surprised to find many very valuable insights. While some might be a bit redundant and even a bit of a cliche, the diversity of authors and styles addressing them are worth the time of revisiting them. Narration is good and effective, though nothing exceptional; having some of the authors narrating themselves would have been nice.

Surprisingly good, very fun narration
Revisado: 07-23-19
This book surprised me on its being very ingenious on how it relates basic principles of Taoism with the tales of Winnie the Pooh and his friends. Nice introduction to Taoism for casual newcomers, fun and pleasurable entertainment for those already in the know. I adored the narrator works, he takes lots of care in impersonating each of the Pooh characters.

Revisado: 07-05-19
Certainly an essential piece of world's most influential philosophy, and the translation seems to be of great quality and clarity (though not knowing the original language I can only guess it's accurate). Narration is very clear, although way too slow for my taste, and it just may be that it makes perfect sense given the nature of the ideas the book holds.

When an unexpected medical crisis sends Naomi Wolf on a deeply personal journey to tease out the intersections between sexuality and creativity, she discovers, much to her own astonishment, an increasing body of scientific evidence that suggests that the vagina is not merely flesh, but an intrinsic component of the female brain - and thus has a fundamental connection to female consciousness itself.

Completely upgraded my love, admiration for women.
Revisado: 07-03-19
Naomi Wolf has written an inspiring, comprehensive, and detailed treaty on women's emotional, spiritual, and behavioral life. Having in one single volume the spiritual, physiological, sociological, and historical aspects of womanhood laid out and clearly intertwined helps achieve a very high level of understanding as no other approach could in my opinion. I feel like I have been revealed sacred secrets to understanding, but mostly to treating and loving women as they really need and deserve. I wish I had read it since I became a man, certainly I would have made women in my life much happier and prosperous. I hope this book or at least most of the information it holds, someday becomes a mandatory lesson for all young women and mostly for young men. And the narration by Therese Plummer just made it even more enjoyable and emotive, for she delivers the perfect pace, intonation and levels of emotion, excitement and even humor that each passage requires.
