Historia
College professor Johanna Marshall swore she would never fall in love again. She especially did not want to become involved with someone who has a reputation as an extreme womanizer...someone like Kelly Sambino. But on a hot summer night, Jo finds herself unable to resist Kelly. What follows is something Jo would like very much to quickly forget. Embarrassed after their night of passion, Jo hopes she will never have to see Kelly again. Then, when Fall classes begin, Jo finds herself face to face with the college's new Literature Professor - Kelly Sambino.

Struggled to finish
Revisado: 08-24-20
Normally, I love Gerri Hill books, but this book was hard to finish. Jo was not a likeable character. She came off as whiny and selfish. Characters were one dimensional. This book was one of Gerri Hill's earlier works and it showed.

Good Story, Excellent Narration
Revisado: 11-06-13
I noticed a lot of reviews of this audiobook were critical of the novel's author for becoming boring and predictable with her storytelling. For myself, this was my first introduction to the author, Radclyffe, and I found the story to be enjoyable and felt the narration of the book was excellent.
I held off at first from giving Radclyffe's novels a try because I noticed that most off her novels available on audible.com centered around characters in the medical field. Not being a part of that field, I wondered if I would be able to connect with the characters. I was pleasantly surprised and have enjoyed each Radclyffe audiobook that I have heard so far. I recommend giving this audiobook a listen and I, myself, have listened to it several times.

Good Story, Mediocre Narration
Revisado: 11-06-13
The story is good enough to warrant a read, but I felt the narration of the story left something to be desired. I think I have been spoiled by a couple really amazing narrators that I have heard lately (Abby Craden, Mia Chiaromonte) and perhaps my expectations are now too high! I just found the narrator's voice somewhat grating at times. Not a total deal breaker though... Personally, I liked Beers' other audiobook "Too Close To Touch" better for both the story and narration. Overall, I would rate this audiobook a 3.5, but since I can't do half stars, I am being generous and rounding up to 4 stars.

Historia
Sarah Matamoros can’t complain. After immigrating from Mexico when she was nine years old, she’s content with the life she’s made for herself in sunny San Diego. She works hard at her mother’s housecleaning service by day and spends the evenings with her quirky eight-year-old daughter, Grace. From a very young age, Emory Owen had several concepts drilled into her head. Success is everything. Be the best. Fight your way to the top. Expectations were high in the Owen household and the world was watching. Born into a high society family, Emory never wanted for anything...at least anything money could buy.

Sweet Story, Witty Writing & Fantastic Narration
Revisado: 08-28-13
What I loved about Heart Block was the combination of great writing and the way the narrator captured the spirit of the characters. This story was sweet without too much drama which I generally prefer for romance novels. This is definitely a story I will listen to many times.
