I thought this was a romance, but it’s really not romantic and doesn’t have a happy ending. It was women’s fiction. I liked it just okay. Probably won’t read this author again. I was told she’s the queen of beach read romance but this wasn’t very romantic. The writing was pretty good. I can see how it’s the right fit for some people.

I gave this book a big five stars but I was one that hated the narration. It looks like the publisher redid the narration, so give it a shot! I’ll be redownloading it and hoping to listen to it again before Iron Flame, hopefully my app will give me the updated files. This book is incredible. I’ve recommended it to so many people and we’re doing it for book club next month. Woop!!

It took me months to actually start this book. Well, I listened to the prologue, got bored, got busy, and didn’t return for a long time. I’m kicking myself for that. This book was absolutely AMAZING! I loved it so much and can recommend it to ANYONE! I already preordered the next one, which is the first time I’ve ever preordered an audiobook. Can’t wait!

I think the audio company who produced this needs to clean up the file. There were so many mistakes where it sounded like Mel expected them to make a cut there. So it did take away a little bit from the overall experience. Here's to hoping that gets fixed bc I feel like she deserves it to be the best it can be.
